Hi,
My husband, after 4 years, found the activia --- only one that hasn't leaked thus far! he's at 15/11, supposed to be going up to 20/16, but was never able to get there, due to mask leaks! good luck! (when he first started the activia he was at 12/8) so far, so goo.

Re: proper breathing with full face mask
Those are relatively high pressures I believe. (My husband is supposed to be at 20/16) but still isn't up there, he's slowly getting there after years of trying different things, and masks since 2004. In 2005 or so, his sleep doc looked up his nose and saw that he had very large "turbinates" and tha...

Re: Unsupportive spouse,
You poor thing! With all the problems with being a worn out zombie (like my husband), you have to deal with a terrible doc and DME (non terrible are bad enough!), and a wife who is either IMHO either lacking in IQ, or just plain selfish or truly unloving. If my husband, didn't have a patient advocat...

Heart Disease, CPAP better than APAP: one study
While researching, I found this article too, stating that CPAP and APAP do not both work effectively on heart patients (my husband has Coronory Artery Disease also.) I assume a Respironics BiPAP auto M series (set on certain pressures, now 14/10 --- is not in its auto, APAP mode? Correct? Is anyone ...

Changing the setting: it worked!!
Thank you so much! The only difference I found was that on the prior machine, you had to hold down the 2 buttons, unplug it, keep holding them down and plug it back in --- this one, you unplug first (without holding down the buttons), then hold down the buttons and plug in. It worked well... I also ...

How to change settings on Respironics BiPap Auto M Series
My husband was diagnosed in 2004 w/ severe OSA and some centrals.... after many masks, he's on his 2nd machine a Respironics BiP.Aut.M; he's supposed to be up to 20/14, but is slowly trying to get up there, as the pressure is too much. He's at 12/8 and wants to go to 14/10; this is a new machine and...
