Re: Medicare and CPAP
Thanks guys, that's what I thought. I don't really understand why the doctor's office is giving her the run around but whatever. Nice to know things haven't actually changed.

Re: Medicare and CPAP
Medicare has nothing to do with the choice of machines. They don't care what machine you get since, as you said, they pay a set amount regardless of the machine. (Unless you need something more powerful that a traditional CPAP). It's the DME that is giving you the run around. They want you to take ...

Medicare and CPAP
I've been on CPAP for over 10 years now and I'm doing fine. I was diagnosed early and took to it quickly so I won't qualify for Medicare for over a decade. However,I have an online friend who is on Medicare who has been diagnosed for the 2nd time with SA. She failed the first time. You know the dril...

Re: New Z1 travel machine by Human design medical
I just got a Z1 Auto for travel. I agree that it is quite noisy. I bought a Q Tube muffler for it and I believe it will help a lot. I tried it without the HME and my mouth felt like the Sahara desert after a few hours so I tried the HME. It worked well and I didn't have issues with humidity after th...

S9 VPAP or BiPAP Machines- What are the Differences?
I have a friend who wants to get a new BiLevel/VPAP machine. She has an ancient Resmed VPAP III now. I don't know much about the BiLevels. I went to CPAP.com and it shows an S9 VPAP Auto and and S9 VPAP S but I didn't see much difference between them. Or is a Respironics BiPAP the best way to go? I ...

Encore Pro on Windows 7 Laptop
I am letting a friend use my backup machine, a Respironics M Series with A Flex. He had gotten a Plus a few years ago that he only used a few days but since he has been convinced to try it again, he needs a machine with data to see what is going on. I had some old copies of Encore Pro that I had use...

Re: Doctors who refuse to refer. (Playing dumb)
I was lucky. I just mentioned to my doctor that I had vacationed with a friend and she mentioned I was snoring really bad and that I didn't used to. First thing out of the doc's mouth was to have a sleep study done.

Re: Is My Insurance Amazing or What?
My insurance never checked for compliance. They didn't pay for the whole thing, though.
