Resmed doesn't want online suppliers of their equipment (in the USA) to be supplying other countries with this equipment. The word is that if you are Canadian you have to buy from a Canadian supplier. Same for other countries. I was still able to buy from the US after this went into effect with no p...

Yes you are able to order xPAP equipment from the USA if you live in Canada. If your province has a program to pay for the device or a portion of it, you will have to buy it in Canada in order to take advantage of the program. In Ontario it is the Assisted Devices Program in association with OHIP. M...

It sounds like you may even stop breathing during your bout. That is what happened to me. I would wake up and immediately sit up in bed. I even had the shakes for awhile, couldn't sleep without feeling panicky and when I was tired enough I would just drop off to sleep. That was back in 2000. I was d...

If Resmed is so concerned about patients getting proper treatment why are they not demanding that all DMEs selling their equipment get extensive training and certification by them? So many people have come here with improper settings on their xPAPs, masks are not fit properly and some units are not ...

What does it take to open a DME business? Money, a good business ethic, city required business license, signed agreement with manufacturers of the product. If special certification, extra training, medical director and an RT are needed you sure could fool me because I have never seen this at the DM...

Maskmeister obviously isn't business 101 oriented. Maybe you should read that new dummies book, Business 101 for Dummies. Whatever overhead and profit margins the retailer has is immaterial to the manufacturer......because the manufacturer has gotten THEIR profit out of the products when they're sol...

Here is a link to a story done on the Damn Interesting site about tooth decay, what causes it and possible solution to it in the future. No where does it say that xPAP therapy increases or decreases cavities (well of course not).

Hey, I wonder if they do make it mandatory to report OSA if they'll HAVE to give everyone autopaps so they can prove compliancy!!!!!! Now there's a good idea!! ...except they'd probably require us to have a daily/weekly printout handy at all times! I doubt they would provide the reader and software...
