Re: Using Cpap on DC for travel

In response to use of your humididfier. If you use it with out turning it on and just putting water in it you will get whats called evaporation humidity which is by far better than going without any. Another alternative to buying the manufacture dc adaptor unit is buying a power inverter. You can g...

Re: Using Cpap on DC for travel

The heated humidifier works in passover (non-heated) mode, there is not as much water vapor in the air. A couple of thing to think about for the dc power: 1- How many volts did you have at the source? 2- If it was over the power rating of the adapter, the fuse in the adapter should have blown 3- So...

You may be getting a high AHI simply because the minimum is too low, and does not preempt your apneas or hypopneas.
Ah, yes that makes sense. I will try setting the min at 10 for tonight and report back tomorrow. Thanks for great tip!

Lowering AHI levels

My leak rates are at 19.2, just about right for the CPAP Pro I use. I have had a formal sleep study done. At 8 cm h20 my apnea's dropped to zero, at least with the mask I was using. That is the setting that was prescribed. I can say with the nasal air II (My second mask) it feels like there's a lot ...
