I personally didn't find that fifth index to be inherently over-reaching. My take was that index five is a highly typical method of dismissing artifacts: if prior cycles were also found to be flow limited, then index five carries a low-probability weighting toward final, sum-total p; if prior cycle...

From: http://www.diabeteshealth.com/read/2007/11/15/5525.html In a recent three-month study, 43 non-insulin-dependent people with type 2 diabetes were given either a daily dose of 1000 milligrams of cinnamon or a placebo. At the end of the study, there was not a single difference between the two gro...

It's one version back 7.something. The auto updater wants to upgrade it and I'll do that, but for now......I'm a happy camper..... Haven't had it running long enough to note any anomalies with Firefox ... You shouldn't have any problems with Firefox in the older versions of Ubuntu which used the ea...

Bill I'm having trouble keeping track on your setup / evnets / aerohpahgia /runs combination. Could you create chart of that? I'm not sure how to make a single chart, Ozij, but I'll offer up the data. Here's where my settings have been for the past month: http://home.mchsi.com/~anon53/May0308Settin...

I promised myself I was gonna dig into the Puritan-Bennett patents in more detail. I did that this morning and prepared a write-up on it. As I was nearing completion of the first write-up, the beta version of Firefox 3 I was using crashed on me. Herewith is my 2nd attempt at this ... Gruenke & Trimb...

I have never heard of cinnamon and IR before! I'll have to do some reading on the subject. Thank you! Edit: Found a great article: http://care.diabetesjournals.org/cgi/content/full/26/12/3215 http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/41026.php From the first study referenced above: CONCLUSIONS—The r...

odd... I'm using FireFox beta without a single crash. Does it grey out and become unresponsive or does it just shut down and disappear? In a flash, it's just gone. No warnings, no recovery, just poof! Suddenly I was looking at my background wallpaper. Kinda funny (sort of). . Maybe it's just the 64...

One caution ...
For some reason nobody can explain, even the Ubuntu devotees are perplexed by it, the newly released version 8.04 of Ubuntu comes with Firefox version 3 beta as the "standard" browser. It's a wonderful browser when it works. I had hear others complain about the browser crashing and even experienced ...

Well, at this point I'll be back on the boards after my appointments. My GP is not much older than me (only in her 30s,) and I hope she's not a bit too sure of herself. But my hope is that she and my sleep doctor will eventually sort out the physical from the mental. Trust, but verify. That's my re...

FYI: Virtual box does NOT yet support USB on Mac Leopard and XP Pro w/Sp3. Haven't tried it yet on ubuntu/virtbox/xpPro, but that might work. I use the Prolific driver with my RS232 which is natively supported with Leopard but that combo wouldn't talk to it to connect to my 420e. Yep, it does. USB ...

Re: OT - Greetings from Ubuntu! ... again
Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to Bill (NightHawkeye), Yardbird, and others who encouraged me to migrate over to this cool and free Linux operating system . I installed it last Tuesday night along with Virtualbox . Glad to hear you like it, DreamStalker. Hope it meets your needs. Then I instal...

I know this thread is more for the "brainiacs" Umm ..., NO. I think maybe the reason you say this is because the folks on this forum using the PB420E tend to be more experienced CPAP users who, after trying other machines, have concluded that the 420E is simply the most capable unit. [FLAME suit ON...

What happens to those runs if you drop Initial to 7.0 cm? You would also need to move Minimum to 7.0 for it to be effective. I've had both the Initial and Minimum below 7. The result was less aerophagia, but more events. I'm inclined to try this, Snoredog, because it might just help both aerophagia...

It seems I keep that gas feeling the whole day, unfortunately, and feel a need to go a lot. Yep, you may as well enjoy it, cuz ya ain't gonna stop it ... . I got my pressure lowered to 9; would raising it to 11 again make things worse? Probably make the aerophagia worse, but might help your apnea t...
