Re: I upped my pressure a bit last night, and a question

I also have that little whistle on my machine and it seems that it is at the same pressure. The thing that saves me is my pressure is much higher than yours so it only whistles on the ramp up when it hits about 7. Once my pressure has come up above that the noise stops. I bet that you are one of tho...

Re: Is 5 hours really enough?

I had a long talk with the sleep doc and the sleep tech a while ago about time spent sleeping. I told them that I feel much better when I sleep only 5-6 hours and feel more tired with 7-8. They looked at my sleep study and found that I went through all stages of sleep twice in 5.5 hours. They explai...

Re: Work put me on call last week

I work on tellecom stuff. So basically when you call in because your voice, video or data isn't up to what you think it should be, that call center that you called, calls their tech. If they can't figure it out, they call their 2nd tier support. Only when they can't figure it out do I get called. Wh...

Re: Spike in leak rate at end of detailed data?

Mine does the same but once you hit the off button, the data is no longer considered in overall nightly data. I would not worry about it. Just something Resmed does, though I am not sure why.

Work put me on call last week

So last week was my first week of being on call since I have been on CPAP. I feel like I am dying. I forgot how bad I used to feel, and this is one heck of a way to remind me. Every night since last monday I have been woke up 2 or more times by people asking me to fix their problems. The worst part ...

Re: Beer and Sleep

I did quite well last night. I drank 2 Fullers 8 Shiners and blasted it all with two very large Sky Vodka and Water drinks. I was pretty bad off. Wife put me to bed around 11:00 pm, but here is the best part. I slept until 7:30, got up and drained out some of the liquids and climbed back into bed. ...

Re: Beer and Sleep

that if I drink one or two beers my AHI goes up by 5 to 8 points. Busa, I want specifics for the sake of research. Does your AI and HI change proportionally? I have a hunch for some the HI will change more. Awaiting your further study results. You are correct, from previous studies, I have found th...

Re: Beer and Sleep

Although I was not going to bring into account anything other than beer I have found that vodka is sleeps worst nightmare and the sliding scale does not apply. Although a very nice tequila like patron or portfidio has a sliding scale that is available as a guide. This scale is much different than a ...

This function is used a lot like Microsoft's live meeting. If you sign up and other people are online you can have a meeting and all look at the same document through the internet without them actually having it on everyones computer. This is a function of the new Adobe Acrobat viewer. This is not a...

Best numbers ever

Ok, I know that I have not been on CPAP for all that long, but I have started to adjust my pressure due to my numbers still being high. Well, last night I set the pressure .2 higher (I have been going in increments of .2 per week for 4 weeks). I woke up this morning feeling great and I looked at the...

Re: Question on Resmed S8 Elite II

Horsepuckies! Resmeds have NEVER reported the AVERAGE pressure via the LCD screen! They've reported the 95th percentile of pressure via the LCD screen and the 95th percentile, Maximum and Median pressures via the software. Now that you say that, I think you are right. I have never seen it work, so ...

Re: Question on Resmed S8 Elite II

After two weeks of talking to 3 people in technical support and a clinical technician from ResMed multiple times, I finally talked to the person that is over the technical service dept and got everyone an answer. I was asking about the "NO DATA" for the pressure when reviewing the previous nights da...

Standard, (I don't know your name but I think that is what the characters read in Cantonese). Am I wrong? I ride a custom hayabusa daily and I have aquired the nickname busa because of it. The symbol in Japanese means Paragrin Falcon which is the fastest bird and looks like: http://farm4.static.fli...
