Re: Unsupportive spouse,
I don’t want to make her sound like she is selfish, or a spoiled brat. She has been a very good wife and mother for the past 24 years. She is also a bright woman and has researched this condition. She is having a problem accepting this treatment. I don’t know what to do. I have changed doctors in ho...

Unsupportive spouse,
My trip to CPAP land began when I went to an ENT doctor for a deviated septum. My wife seldom slept in the same room with me due to my snoring. After horrible experiences at the sleep study center, (unaccredited by the way, found this out afterward), and with the DME, I finally got my machine. After...

Newbie’s, Question Authority!!!
If it had not been for the information I gained from reading this site, I most likely would have settled for whatever equipment I had been “given” by my sleep center. However, I now have the equipment I think is best for my therapy, AT A COST LESS THAN THE EQUIPMENT THEY ORIGINALY WANTED TO “GIVE” M...

DreamDiver,
Sounds like you have some inside information. Yes, there is "Someone at the Sleep Doc's office who is acting as the 'concierge.' " However, she is apparently working against the system. Could this be "Southern Girl?"

Ok, I give up!
Ok, I give up. Just received my card reader and software, have the humidifier and smart card, however, my DME will not supply my M Series w/A-Flex until my Sleep Study Doctor corrects my prescription. When I was having the study done they had three doctors and at least two nurse practitioners. Now ...

What a NIGHTMARE!
I just returned from the DME for the third time today. Previously I posted the problems I had with the sleep center. On top of that, my wife thinks this is all a scam. Today I had my appointment with the DME for fitting and getting my appliance. As the Sleep Center wrote the script for a large Quat...

Equipment Selection?
Thanks for the info. The S8 being offered is the Elite. However, I am sure I could talk them into the Vantage if that is a better machine than the M series with AFlex. Has anyone had problems with the M Series w/AFlex?

Equipment selection?
I had the review of my CPAP sleep study. The nurse practicioner could barely interprete the data. In fact, I had to show her how the catrigories corresponded to the first study. She could not tell me the difference between OSA and Central SA. Next she anounced that she was going to give me my machin...

Apparently my two replys did not post, new to chat rooms also. From my research of my symptoms I was certain I had some dregree of OSA. That is why I requested the original study. I intend to comply with the therapy but I have a problem with trust of the study center. Are they as interested in my di...

Hello, I am a new patient and will be having my review of my CPAP sleep study tomorrow. On my first study for dianosis, I was made to sleep on my back (un-natural for me), thier phone rang loudly 5 times during the night and I was awaken when I rolled on my side (natural sleep position). I was diano...
