Re: Air coming OUT through my eyes!

I see a lot of people complaining about air coming from their masks into their eyes and drying them out, but what I have going on is air coming up through some sinus cavity or something behind my eye and blowing out! It's really freaking me out --it's a very odd and uncomfortable feeling. It feels ...

Sleep doctor thinks clinical software cannot detect centrals

Had an appointment this morning with sleep doctor to discuss cpap therapy getting worse rather than better. I brought in printouts of one week of downloaded Sandman therapy data which detected a lot of central hypopneas and some central apneas with cardiac oscillations. He already saw a report of th...

Re: To Canadians Re- Customs on equipment

The card reader and software I purchased from cpap.com I believe, if I remember correctly, didn't have customs? But when I returned the reader to Australia and was sent a copy of the updated 3.5 version o rescan software, I had to pay customs 36.00. On a side note, where did your ResScan Reader and ...

Re: To Canadians Re- Customs on equipment

I was assuming that your item was shipped via United States Postal Service. If it was shipped via a Courier Company, they will charge a Brokerage fee to bring a parcel across the border. You said DHL was shipping it - that, I think, is a courier company. With the United States Postal Service there ...

Re: Canadians: Where do you order a spo7500 from in US?

I don't have an oximeter yet. I have been checking some and the prices but have not decided to buy yet. Hawthorne, I cancelled the other order rather than pay another 98.00 which they are now saying is just shipping. At first they were saying it was for both customs and shipping. I contacted nonin ...

Re: To Canadians Re- Customs on equipment

First of all, I'm not a Canadian but I grew up on the watery border of Michigan and Ontario. I am puzzled as to why the company from whom you have ordered the equipment is charging you customs? Surely, they would know that this is medical equipment and should be willing to do the simple action of p...

Canadians: Where do you order a spo7500 from in US?

I just cancelled my spo7500 with software because of the cost of shipping being 98.00. I just emailed the worldwidesurgical company in Brooklyn NY to ask them to remove the custom charge from my credit card and just charge me shipping of not more than 20.00 max since it is such a small parcel and I ...

Re: To Canadians Re- Customs on equipment

When ordering from the U.S and having items shipped to a border store for pickup-(on the U.S. side, I always bring my prescription just in case. When crossing the border, I have never been charged any duty or taxes - GST or PSt. They are well aware that all medical equipment and the like is free fr...

Re: To Canadians Re- Customs on equipment

I bought a machine with humidifier, software and reader online from the US. I have also purchased several masks and other cpap supplies online from the US and have never paid any customs or duty. These items are marked or coded as "Medical Equipment" so there is no customs or duty. Sometimes, I hav...

To Canadians Re- Customs on equipment

I ordered the spo7500 with software from world surgical.com in Brooklyn NY. It was priced at 459.00 with software. (free shipping in the states). Shipping to Ontario cost 98.00 including customs. Now my purchase has gone to 550. 00 This is scaring me now as I also just purchased the sandman and soft...

Re: Vista compatible recording pulse oximeters

The "SPO2" software that supports the Contec recording Pluse Oximeters does run fine under both the x86 and x64 version of Vista, as I have used it with both. I am currently using a Contec CMS 60C recording Pluse Oximeter with Vista Ultimate x64, and using "SPO2" version 0.96 software to capture an...

Re: Vista compatible recording pulse oximeters

They will tell you it isn't vista compatible (if you tell them about a problem) but it actually works if you add the software to the DEP list. It's funny because it was working when I first got the software then after a Windows update it stopped working but adding it to the DEP list made it work ag...
