Authorized Resmed Repair Center
Hi All, My Resmed Airsense Autoset is having some problems. The pressure fades during the night and I wake up with a slight burning/electronic smell. Of course I am 27 months past the purchase date, so no warranty. I am trying to get reimbursement from my credit card company that adds an extra year ...

Plenty of water. I thought the same thing....

Re: Problem with Resmed 10 Airsense Autoset [Update]
Thanks for the responses everyone. The plot thickens. After the problems in my initial post, two days ago, I cleaned everything up, replaced the filter, cut the power and everything SEEMED ok, but I haven't been sleeping well. I wake up about 2 am and I notice a, for lack of a better description, a ...

Problem with Resmed 10 Airsense Autoset
Two nights ago I woke up and my CPAP machine was low on pressure and I had a horrible nights sleep. When I woke up, I reseated, cleaned and changed the filter and it appeared to work again. Last night it was working for most of the night. However, I woke up about 5 am and it was low pressure again. ...

Switch to Airsense 10 Autoset -- Mask Leaks!
My Resmed S9 Autoset finally kicked the bucket, so I "upgraded" to an Airsense 10 Autoset. Using the same mask as before (F&P 431), I am now experiencing airleaks. Even when doing to Mask Fit setting, I can't get a tight seal. Even if I hold the mask to my face to make the tightest seal I can, it st...

Re: Getting Frustrated - numbers getting worse
Thanks everyone for the kind help. I've decided to run CPAP at 12 with EPR during the settling period only (25 minutes). I tried using only EPR during settling last night (on Auto -11), I woke up without my mask. Based on usage data, I took it off 2.7 hours into the session. Hopefully I will get use...

Re: Getting Frustrated - numbers getting worse
Ok, it appears that I have a few option from you kinds folks. Run auto with EPR off to see if that changes anything Run straight CPAP at 10, 12 or 15. Given that I am running Auto at 11 right now, will runing straight CPAP at 10 accomplish anything? Right now I am leaning toward running straight CPA...

Re: Getting Frustrated - numbers getting worse
Hmmm...I just checked the clinical menu, under EPR, it gives three options: Fulltime, During Settling only, Off. Iassume/hope that during settling only will give me what I need.... Yes, I use EPR. That really helped me become compliant. I would hate to give it up. But, I think I have the option to u...

Re: Getting Frustrated - numbers getting worse
Yes, I use EPR. That really helped me become compliant. I would hate to give it up. But, I think I have the option to use EPR for the first 30 minutes or so? A second thought: Are you using EPR? That causes your pressure to drop every time you exhale - it will drop below 10. If you are using it, the...

Re: Getting Frustrated - numbers getting worse
Thanks for the quick responses everyone. A couple of points. I am a side sleeper for the most part. So, I don't think a backpack or soccer ball will help. My sleep study was a bit weird. I couldn't sleep very well, so I think there was a lot of guess work. I had a full night sleep study and a full n...

Getting Frustrated - numbers getting worse
I have been on CPAP therapy for a little over 3 months. Early on, I had some serious leak problems that I got ironed out. Right now, I am able to sleep with the mask with no problems and only wake up once a night or so. However, my AI and AHI numbers, which were never stellar, have started to get wo...

Still getting funky results
Hi All: I've been on cpap therapy since the end of September 2008. Initially I had some massive leak issues that I have addressed (which lead to pressure blister issues, which I have addressed). However, I am getting very strange results. Typically, I have very high AHI numbers as a result of a high...

Treatment of Pressure Blisters
Well, I have eliminated leaks on my mask only to get a pressure blister on my nose. The blister is located about a 1/4 of the way down my nose. I've tried moleskin, but it doesn't really help as I don't think it is friction that is causing the problem (it's pressure). There also doesn't appear to be...

Re: Leaks Under Control: Now What?
This raises an interesting issue, it appears than when I increase my pressure, the 95% pressure seems to go up. For example: 11/16 Min Pressure 9.4 - 95% Pressure - 9.6 11/17 Min Pressure 9.4 - 95% Pressure 9.8 11/18 Min Pressure 9.4 -95% Pressure 10.0 then I changed Min Pressure 11/19 Min Pressure ...
