Re: Cycling, CPAP and Sleep.
Is your "club ride" bike a Volae? How do you like the 26" wheels in both the front and rear? I prefer the 20" in the front and the 26" rear wheel. Also by the end of the week my Vision will be morphed into a Vision/Volae on account of replacing the seat and seat stays. My "club ride" bike is a 2002...

Re: Cycling, CPAP and Sleep.
This is turning into a gallery of eccentric cycles What it is like riding the horizontal cycle up a steep hill ?, I would imagine visibility might be a problem ? DSM Actually visibility is better then on a diamond frame bike. On a road bike, or even a hybred it is more difficult to tip your head ba...

Re: Cycling, CPAP and Sleep.
I liked your blog. I too am an avid biker and CPAP helped. Here is my bike. It is a recumbent with a hybrid power source for hills. http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss256/Linus_s/100_2888.jpg Very nice BIKE E. Unfortunatley like Vision they too went out of business. Too bad, they made a decent re...

Re: Mask BLISTERS!!!
Do you clean your face and mask before you go to bed? When I first got my machine and mask I learned early on I need to clean my face and wipe the mask as well. The first week I had mine I started getting sores that almost turned to blisters. I learned I should clean my face and wipe my mask off rig...

IS it true that snoring is not normal?
Is it true that snoring is not normal and if someone snores when they sleep there is some sort of a problem? Doesn't snoring mean the airway is constricted, even if just slightly?

Re: Cycling, CPAP and Sleep.
My Vision is 7 years old and currently naked. That is she does not have her seat on, the seat frame broke. I ordered the parts and they should ship tomorrow. Current pics are on my blog. At some point I will take pics of her fully loaded. I mean with fenders, lights, day bag, Camel Bak, etc. After t...

Re: Cycling, CPAP and Sleep.
Hi I am another convert to cycling (one day will post a pic ) But I found your blog very easy to read & interesting. My interest is in looking at how taking up cycling may impact my own xPAP therapy. Since approx Jan, started doing lots of walking (7-10 kms / day) - then next phase which started in...

Please read my blog post about Cycling, CPAP and Sleep and tell me what you think. FMC, I have only been on the hose for 9+mths, but it has totally changed my cycling. Everything you said, ditto. I feel better and better every am. ....ah, now no offense, but the only thing I don't like about 'bents...

Re: Are you touchy about who touches your machine?
Interesting point about the TSA officers at airport security. When ever I fly I always have my machine as carry on baggage. When I take it to the security check point I actually have anyone who handles my machine sign a document stating if any damage is done they are responsible for it. They sign it...

Are you touchy about who touches your machine?
Are you touchy or nervous about anyone else who goes near, touches or handles your machine other then you or the staff of where you got it from? I am. My father in law has sleep apnea as well as a result of post polio problems. He is in his late 60's and had polio as a teenager that affected the mus...

Re: Day #2 not such a success
I had the same problem when I first got my machine. The first few nights were great. Then I would wake up feeling like you do, except for the heart issues. I would feel like I had to take deep breaths and was starved for air the next day. It turns out my nasal passages were getting congested on and ...

Hello, sort of new here.
Hi all, I am sort of new here. I joined a while back, posted a little bit, but stopped for a while. I am back now and hope to be more active in the group. I have used 2 CPAP machines over the last 5+ years. My first was a Respironics Remaster Pro CFLEX. It was set to one pressure setting and that wa...
