Re: i give up

Why am I leaking ???
Been on CPAP about a month or so...I still can't go a full night without pulling the thing off without even remembering doing it. I've got maybe 3 full nights successfully.... I've got a mirage quattro full face mask. So basically all of a sudden after less than a month my mask won't stay sealed too...

are we all overweight here?
I have been under the impression that OSA is 'almost' exclusively an obesity related condition. Myself I'm probably at least 70 lbs past skinny, So is there anyone here who is actually within 10-20 lbs of ideal bodyweight but still has OSA?

What kind of connector do I need for my S7 elite?
I have an S7 elite and I would like to bypass the humidifier dome to connect the hose strait to the machine's port. I never use the humidifier and would like to rid myself of the extra plastic taste, but I can't figure out precisely what I need.... Surely it's a cheap and simple item, but there are ...

Is my S7 machine breaking down?
I've only been on CPAP for a few weeks of my life...I have a used ResMed S7 Elite w/ heated humidifier, and it may be my imagination but it's started sounding like the motor is a vacuum cleaner...when I breath in it gets loud, and breath out the motor chokes almost all the way off, and it just doesn...

I'm trying nasal pillows right now, and this new relationship just wasn't meant to be. Can't get the buggers to seal right. It's looking to me like nasal - anything isn't going to be for me...I always wake up to air spilling out my lips, and I've been using tape to stop that from happening, until I ...

Anyone using (or used) a mirage quattro? Love it, hate it?
Just wondering if there's anyone who uses this mask and thinks it's alot better than others you've tried? Or did you use it and hated it/or found something better? First mask i was given (i'm a total newbie), was a Comfortgel which I considered to be just plain awful compared to the quattro which th...

New to CPAP...A cleaning question
I haven't been able to successfully sleep on my machine yet (still working out the kinks). I took apart my machine and washed the humidifier dome, hose, and mask in dish detergent and then soaked it all in vinegar water. Is this similar to how you do it? Main concern I have is about the hose, I'm no...

The rubber flap inside my mask...is it supposed to stay up?
My first attempt at CPAP therapy...I just picked up a Resmed S7 Elite with ia Comfortgel full face mask. I must say this is not at all what I remember from the sleep lab. I am absolutely blown away by my 11 cm setting. Even with the ramp feature, my ears fill with pressure with each exhale and I hav...

About to order equipment for 1st time..GoodKnight 420G?
I'd appreciate some good advice. I'm about to order equipment for the 1st time, and since I don't have good insurance or alot of money to burn, I guess I'll be getting that GoodKnight 420G Travel CPAP Machine without the humidifier (I live in Alabama, it's already humid enough I figured). Anyone els...

You will need a CPAP machine and mask. You may want to get a heated humidifier (not everybody uses one) and spare filters are a good idea. You will need two different types of filters; foam and white [fine]. The provider will set your CPAP to your prescribed pressure; you will have to fax your pres...

Newly diagnosed, need some advice on equipment please
Hello every one, I'm new here since I just got diagnosed with moderate OSA. I'm needing some help from someone who's experienced, in understanding what I really need. My prescription was for a 11cm machine with heated humidifier. Since I don't have insurance, I'll of course be buying online to save ...
