Greyhound

No problem as long as you have a proper adapter. I use my Dutch cpap, rated for 220 volt, 50Hz without any problem in te US, 110 volt 60 Hz.

The most effective solution is to get a heated tube. This way you avoid condensation completely.

My "home made" heated tube is hanging off a hook approx 3 feet over the bed. The tube is attached by means of an elastic band. This works well and I have absolutely no problem with condensation.

I'm surprised that nobody came up with the suggestion to try the Hybrid mask. I'm using it since 4 months now and I'm satisfied with it. No additional problem of taping your mouth or wearing a chin strap if you tend to sleep with your mouth open. I think it is the best alternative if you cannot get ...

I still use my Hybrid, bought it 3 months ago. It works fine for me ( with the chin flap cut off). I don't manage to wear it a complete night, usually around 3 to 4 in the morning I don't seem to be able to control the leaking. I ususally finish off the night with my swift nasal pillow mask. A big p...

I have used it on and off for approx. 2 months now, hated it for several weeks, kept trying since I also hate taping my mouth to use my breeze mask. Now, after removing the flap it works well for the first 4 hours of sleep. Leakage starts then and seems to be impossible to stop. I then continue with...

maskjkie 6 weeks further now, I have tried the hybrid mask on and off, switching from hybrid top to the breeze mask when it did not give me enough sleep. Finally, I think I have found the right settings, the cut off chin flap, large pillows in the bottom position and enough tension on the top straps...

Hi maskjkie Thanks for your advice, I have cut away the complete chinflap on both the medium and large size. This gives an enormous improvement. Why has the inventor of this mask designed the chin flap? This flap has a fixed distance from upper lip seal to the bottom of the chin! Very few faces come...

Hybrid mask experience

When I saw the first article on the Hybrid mask, I decided immediately to try and get one. Since it is not yet available in Holland, I ordered one in the US. This is the result of my first 4 nights with the Hybrid mask: I have a Respironiocs Autopap with Cflex. After having experimented with the var...

Hello John,

My problem was irregular large and irritating leakage, according to the supplier here in Holland as a result of varying pressures.

When I had problems with my comfort lite after my change from cpap to apap, I was told that comfort lite was not recommended for use with apap!
Is the comfort lite 2 any better in combination with apap ?

I have tried this mask as well and gave up because of the noise level.
I think that the idea is perfect, I liked the feel and the freedom, but the noise kept me awake.

I clean the hose every two days with hot water and some mild detergent, I always flush it with real hot water for at least two minutes and let it dry.
I am convinced that this method is pretty effective, I cannot find any deposit in the tube after 7 months of use.
