Re: My experience with taping
I too love the Hybrid Mask. It's very comfortable and I don't have to use tape or a chin strap.

Re: SleepWeaver Advanced Nasal Mask
Hi Sherry, I do have a SleepWeaver cloth mask, and while it is comfortable to wear, I can't get the leaks to stop. It's mostly around the nose area, blowing air into my eyes. It may just be the shape of my face and it may work fine for you. I have noticed the the holes the straps go through have str...

Good to hear you're doing well after surgery and that the doc gave you some good pain medicine. You have a novel to complete so heal quickly and get lots of rest.

Re: Custom Made CPAP Mask
I don't know anything about the custom fit mask you mentioned but it is pricey. My fear would be changing face shape due to weight loss/gain, the effects of gravity etc.....I assume with any of these changes the mask would not fit properly anymore.

Re: Walmart and personal control
You might get your wish that Walmart will sell Cpap items and accessories. Looks like they already have some Cpap pillows and one mask for sell. http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_query=cpap+&ic=48_0&Find=Find&search_constraint=0 You can also go to this page and under the heading "Wal...

Re: Keep Waking Up And Taking Mask Off
Yes, it's the nose that itches...I probably need to clean the mask more often. Although i think what wakes me up is usually a small leak. Does medical tape help with leaks too? If so, I"m all over that. Thanks so much for the tips. I don't know about medical tape, have never used it. I use a Hybrid...

Re: PR S1 software options..Warning a Novel..
FYI, I just released a new version of Onkor, but although there were a lot of changes, there weren't many differences to your descriptions/pics above, so I think everything you mentioned is still 100% valid. I will give your new version a try this evening or tomorrow. I am really liking the options...

Re: Keep Waking Up And Taking Mask Off
Thanks for the responses. I AM aware that I'm taking it off at night, which is a good thing I guess, it's not automatic. I'm going to work on keeping it on no matter what. I tell myself I will when I go to bed, but when it comes down to it I usually do anyway, so maybe the tape is a good idea. I'll...

Re: Help with facial swelling using Innomed Hybrid mask
cflame1, I haven't tried a shoelace or wire although I did try the rubber band trick. (didn't work for me, the pillows still leaked) A shoelace might be less bulky and I could tie it to the mask straps. It certainly wouldn't be as binding that way. I saw the wire mod but don't have any wire here tha...

Re: Prevalence of OSA? Report Symptoms? Screening? Etc?
Rather scary to think that a large percentage of people are driving cars with possible untreated apnea and their doctor's are not recognizing the symptoms.

Re: Do you tape your mouth or use a chin strap?
I voted "I do not use a nasal only type mask". I have three nasal masks but found that even taping and a chinstrap could not keep my mouth shut. I would end up motorboating and wake myself up. The PapCap did help a lot but it squished my face up and was uncomfortable after a few nights. Even after I...
