Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage

Thanks, RiverDave I appreciate your comments. drummergirl410; I follow you. I am having some problems with very active dreams and the Doctor thought maybe the pressure (11) might be off. Since this Dr. did not give me the sleep test he suggested trying the AutoSet for 3 weeks (4-20) and he can read ...

OSA and very Active dreams

Have been on CPAP since Dec 2005. I still have very active dreams, sometimes several times a night. I was wondering if there might be some correlation between OSA and active dreams. My pressure was set at 11 and thought that maybe that might be part of the problem. Your comments would be appreciated...

Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage

One thing puzzles me. If it is set on auto (4 to 20) why would you need a ramp time. Would it not start out at 4 and adjust according to your needs as time went on??

Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage

Thanks loads. I had a ResMed S8 Elite and just a few days ago got this machine. The S8 Elite showed Ramp,Menu and the ramp time. The AutoSet showed " Settling ,Menu,Ramp time and warmup." Learn something new everyday. Thanks again and have a good one. _________________ CPAPopedia Keywords Contained ...

Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage

Can anyone tell me what the word "Settling" means. It appears on the display. Did they misspell setting??
Just curious.
Thanks

Additional Info

Talked with my supplier of the equipment and was told that the servicing twice a year would amount to approx $75 each service and my supplemental Ins would cover it. In fact he said in either case there would be no cost to me but it was somewhat more difficult getting Medicare and the ins to cover t...

Rental or Purchase of CPAP thru Medicare ???

Just received the tenth month purchase option letter for medicare capped rental items on the CPAP device. Would appreciate the Senior Citizens experience on whether it is better to purchase or continue to rent. If I purchase I pay 20% of service charge each time equipment is serviced. If rented my l...

CPAP PRO INQUIRY

Would appreciate any comments on the Cpap Pro. I understand it is relatively new. It certainly looks interesting, no mask, no headgear, no straps. Not sure I could get used to the mouthpiece though. Any Pros or Cons??
Thanks

Severeena: Just can't resist one more post about CANOODLING. Thought I had been around a bit but thats a new one on me. My Yankee bride of 57 years just informed me of the meaning. Here I have (occasionally) been canadooling around and didn't even know it. Man thats BAD. Hell I can't even spell it. ...

STAY THE COURSE

I have been in the program a short time, since Dec 8. Had most of the same aggravations as those listed on this board but happy to say that patience, persistence and knowledge has prevailed. The first week or so I could wear the mask only a couple of hours, then I would remove it. Thought another ma...

Darth Vader Look: That's my understanding also. My machine is set to start at 5 and peak out at 11. The EPR is set at 3 and a ramp time of anything I want between 0 and 45 min.
