Well, from the poll it's looking like slightly more people are favouring the full mask route, and eschewing the medication. This is helping a lot. Tomorrow, I'm going to talk to the healthcare provider and have them bring me an Ultra Mirage full face, and I'll give it a try.
Thanks,
Rob

Re: Where can "we" view masks?
Will my sinus's ever clear up? Its only since cpap I've been stuffed up a alot. Thanks in advance for your experienced opinions. Hi, My doctor just prescribed a mild corticosteriodal spray for me, and I assume that in time it will help with my mild congestion. It has been helping somewhat, but i ha...

Activa swivel hose question
Hi, While I'm finding the Activa to be very comfortable, the hose is giving me a bit of a problem. I find that unless the hose hangs srtaight down, the side leverage of the hose pulls the mask away from the opposite side of my face. Also, if the hose goes sideways, there is the chance that the air e...

Corticosteroid or full face mask?
Hi, I'm wondering if people, given the choice, would opt to use a corticosteroid (like beclomethasone) or simply use a full face mask? My ENT has prescribed the above medication, but also suggested trying a full face mask. My healthcare provider, on the other hand, hates full face masks. Furthermore...

I haven't noticed that passover humidification really helps with anything at all. I can't see it hurting the machine either. The heated humidifier will definitely make the BiPAP more comfortable if you can get around the condensation. Hi, I recently posted about the condensation issue, and Rested G...

Wader is so right about wearing the Activa's straps fairly loose. The angle of the mask to the forehead seems to be the most important adjustment to make when lying down. Play more with the little forehead arm adjustment button than with the straps. After everything seems adjusted right, if you fee...

Rob, Though we heard about how wonderful the Canadian health system is I think what you say is the reason our presidential election turned out the way it did. Yes, It's a hot debate here as well. I would be happy to pay an insurance company for high quality health care, but then again I can afford ...

Rob, Definately fill us in on how you like/dislike the love sick octopus (Activa) Remember not to tighten the lower straps too much. It's not necessary with the Activa. I adjust the head gear portion an let it hang over my nose, then adjust the side straps so they clip into the mask without puting ...

This was my first go around too. I guess maybe I'm more adventurous than most. If you're getting good service from your supplier you can be grateful for that. In my case I got a bad feeling just trying to inquire at the local DMEs about the equipment I was looking for. Glad to hear you seem to be g...

Hi Rob, I paid less than $1000 USD online for my comlete auto-adjusting cpap setup including everthing. If you are quoting CND I think that would be about $1250 CND. Are they charging $1750 for support? I've gotten quite a bit of support from my online provider for $0. I did send them a couple boxe...

Rob, I'm confused. They've already given you a REMstar Plus with C-FLEX that you been using a couple of days at home with the pressure set at 6? Yet you're supposed to go back in to the sleep lab soon for a titration to find the pressure you need? If they were going to send you home with a machine ...

Titration study
Hi, I'm curious about what to expect on my titration study. Do they wait until I'm asleep, and then adjust the pressure? When they delivered my machine, they started me out at 6 - my guess is to get my used to the mask before I take the study. Also, just out of curioslty; is 6 likely to make any cha...
