Just a follow-up ... saw this today, two days after the gentleman offered his ResLink attachment for sale: "The ResLink has been sold; thanks for allowing me to post it. A fellow TAS member is now the proud owner." i guess the moral of this story is: "you snooze, you lose!" If I hadn't just bought ...

Re: Choosing between AutoSet Spirit and Remstar Auto with CF
I may have undiagnosed central apnea and at the moment I have a fixed pressure machine and am considering buying one of these machines. Does any one know how either of these machines copes with central episodes. Has anybody tried both machines? I am also interested in puchasing the software to keep...

Re: Auto Set Spirit How to change Minimum settings
I am hiring an AutoSet Spirit so I do not have any manuals with it. There are a couple of questions I would like to ask seasoned Auto Set spirit users out there. !) The lowesr pressure setting on this machine has been set to 6. As I am used to a fixed pressure cpap machine with a pressure of 13 I a...

While talking about what one manufacturer's software provides and another's does not, in the usual overnight data most of us really want to see - I've heard that the Autoscan software used by ResMed machines like the Spirit does not show info about "snores" on its data graph. Anyone know if that's ...

I agree............turn the humidifier up. Check it out to make sure it's working. (turn it on ...wait about 10 minutes ...feel water chamber to see if it is warm) And as a sidenote: you might want to ensure that the hose doesn't get cold, or with the increased humidity you might get "rainout" (con...

Example: The machine reports 5 apneas... are these ones the machine detected but did not resolve or are these the ones it detected and resolved. You say "actual events"...what do you mean by that? Yes, I find this a tad confusing. I was under the impression that the auto titrating units were able t...

Re: Respironics Auto w/cfex or Resmed Auto Spirit
I have a choice between the Respironics Auto w/CFLEX or the Resmed Spirit, w/no deductible on either. I'm not sure I need the cflex now as my current pressure is 8, but that could increase over time. From reading the Resmed website it would appear that the Spirit will record alot of data that would...

Re: Goodknight 314
Have a Goodknight 314 that was given to me but no-one will adjust the pressure ("because I didn't buy it from them"). Any assist would be appreciated.... Have you had a titration sleep study? If not, I would think if you brought the machine to the sleep lab they would set it for you in the morning....

Hi Rob, Sounds like you have found successful treatment, which is fantastic. If you download a weeks or months worth of data, you may see that you are closer to your titrated pressure than you were last night. It is important to have a PSG to determine a baseline pressure. You take that pressure an...

Two new-to-cpap type questions
Hi, My questions are: 1) I have an Activa mask. I've found that when I wash it, there is always some residual water in the mask by bedtime. What is the best way to wash and dry the mask? Do I need to disassemble it every morning? 2) Does anyone have a good strategy for making the machine (AutoSet Sp...

Greetings LDuyer, I can't recall having numb arms, but because of a bad back, sometimes I get numb legs. I would say that anytime you feel numbness and aren't sure what is going on, you should at least call your physician and alert him/her. I guess I am somewhat paranoid about onset Diabetes. Happy...
