Re: Downloading info from Resmed AutoSet Spirit
I am temporarily using the above unit until my GoodKnight 420E comes in(it was supposedly going to be in after 2 weeks with this temp unit, but now the DME tells me they didn't order it until I brought the temp unit in for download, so another 2 weeks--why does it take so long when I can order some...

Hi, In my opinion, a heated humidifier should be de rigeur . Think about how much air is passing through the system - it is causing a massive amount of evaporation in your sinuses. If you have a humidifier on the furnace in your home, consider how much water that unit goes through because of the air...

Re: ahi numbers
After posting on this forum, I got an email telling me how to download the detailed reports from the smart card for my Remstar BiPAP Pro 2. Here are the numbers from the report for one night: Average Obstructive Apnea Index: 3.0 Average Hypopnea Index: 1.0 Average AHI: 4.0 Average Snore Index: 3.0 ...

The Spirit will record apneas, Hypopneas, centrals. You need the software. You can get everything cpap, mask, software, humidifier for about $1000. You may want to wait for their new S-8 expected to be out in a few months. It is reported to be much smaller than the spirit. Cheers, Chris Chris, Are ...

Re: Another Snake Oil Treatment?
Comments appreciated for those that can't tolerate CPAP. http://www.theshoppingchannel.com/product_detail.asp?departmentId=1111&templateCode=PD&itemId=268174 http://www.makehelp.com/snoring/hivox-snore-stopper.html The one thing that occurs to me is: in what way is a device that prods you with accu...

I have a friend who, upon having an ultrasound, learned that he had a myriad of spots on his spleen. His doctor wanted to perform an immediate splenectomy, and my friend started getting his affairs in order. On a hunch, he flew down to a high-end medical clinic in the US, and after having an MRI, wa...

I think it's important to note that White had, in addition to sleep apnea, Sarcoidosis. This is a little known condition that usually manifests in the lungs, and consists of small patches of inflamation. By all means, be diligent about your cpap therapy, but - people - please don't let Reggie White'...

I really like mine, have no problems with leaks, which is not true of the other full face masks I have used. I guess this goes to show that no mask is the panacea for everyone. The first FF mask I tried was the FlexiFit, and it was hell on wheels for me. I ended up going with an Ultra Mirage FF, an...

Re: Thanks airhead...I'm finished here now!
P.S. THANK YOU to the many here who have been supportive, but I really don't need to come here & find a post like this to me. People need to think before they post comments. I guess I never figured I'd get "flamed" on a CPAP board, but once is enough for me. I won't be back. You're right; airhead w...
