30 years of OSA therapy. Where do I go next??
Hello all, It has been along time since I posted on this forum but need some advice from some of you in the know. After 30 years of OSA therapy ranging from the very first CPAP machine ever made (just kidding) to a UPPP, GGA, and a few other assorted surgeries and dental fixes for OSA, I am at the c...

Re: Medical Marijuana for Sleep Apnea!?
As a pharmacist I must tell you that I have many physician friends that endorse the use of MJ daily to their patients for several disabling diseases. In fact I live in a state (Oregon) where one can obtain a Medical Marjuania Card for use of the tetra-hydro-cannibinols for medical use LEGALLY. Just ...

Re: AM I CHASING MASK LEAKS DUE TO IN APAP PRESSURE
Thanks to both Linkc and Wulfman for your words of wisdom. Last night after I posted this, I put my lower setting at 8 and upper at 12. After reading this mornings report it improved dramatically and I felt rested. I may have to move my upper pressure up a little since the report said I was a max se...

Re: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, a Tale of two Charts
In response to why you got CPAP instead of the auto-PAP other patients got... I hate to be so cynical, but I expect it may have to do with levels of reimbursement by the various insurance companies. Rustyoldude, The previous posters comments are spot on. Great comment !! Most insurance companies wa...

Re: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, a Tale of two Charts
Rustyoldude, Insomnia and apnea are a poor combination to say the least and I feel for you. I have the same problem from time to time. As far as the Ambien, I wanted to ask if you have ever tried Melatonin 3mg extended release tabs made by Natrol? As a pharmacist I have seen 100's or even 1000's of ...

Re: Pressure differences confusing--Answers anyone
HI GANG , THANKS FOR THE 2 OF YOU THAT GAVE ME FEEDBACK. I upped my lower pressure from 4 to 6 last night and today's printout gave me pressures back up in my usual range. I think that perhaps the itellipap auto never came off these lower settings all night for some reason, so for those of you that ...

Den,
Thanks for the input. This is my original thinking also that for some reason my machine did not come off the bottom pressure reading. I'll give it a try tonight and let you know.

Re: Hybrid is awesome !! Positive feedback
Glad you like it. I went through about 10 ff masks until I started using the Hybrid early after its release. The one thing that solved the problem of leaks and poor head strap for me was to take a head grear strap from an old Resmed ff mask and use it in place of the one that comes with the Hybrid I...

Pressure differences confusing--Answers anyone
Hi Gang, It has been a long time since I have posted, but I need your help. I have had an Intellipap autopap since last summer and have like the machine greatly. When I read that the new Smart Code ability was now built in, I bought the new one last week. I have been unable to use the software from ...

Need info on use of CPAP with chronic pain medications
Anyone else like me find that they are now posed with the the need to be on chronic pain meds, but at the same time know that these medications are not to be used with OSA. I am currently seeing and Pain specialist whom I trust greatly (MD with specialty of Anesthesiology along with chronic pain man...
