Re: Would Weight Loss Help?
Both my GP, Sleep Apnea Respitory Specialist and ENT surgeon rate obesity as one of the major factors in severity of OSA. Ive just had UPPP surgey and my surgeon said that to increase my chances of the surgery being a more permanent proposition, i should lose more weight. Ive lost quite a few kilos ...

Re: Relationships
I understand exactly how you feel. I was diagnosed with OSA about the same time i found out my partner was pregnant ...sooooo excited. But the downside has been dealing with an emotional/sometimes hormonal pregnant woman (whom i dearly love), and then going through CPAP therapy, the noise, the frust...

First Dream since i cant remember
Hi all, well finally, i have had my first dream after at least three years or more. does this mean i am finally getting deep sleep? also, i devised a styrofoam container to dampen the noise of the CPAP machine - works a treat. its well ventilated and so far no dramas. so things are a little better t...

second week on cpap - starting to feel a little better,
Hi all, just an update on my therapy. after a week of mask hell and denial of my condition, not to mention the depression of realising that sleep time will never be the same again, ive decided on the micro mirage resmed mask and last night i actually slept with the mask and machine on all night. whi...

Resmed Spirit Machine weeze on inhale/exhale
Hi all. still struggling at the moment. does anyone here have problems with their machine making a weezing noise on exhale and inhale. its not a mask whistle as ive tried two masks and the noise is the same. its like a whine from the machine. its super frustrating and makes a difficult process even ...

Well, night number 3 on CPAP and things are a very frustrating. I feel like giving the whole thing up – but I know I need to adapt to this if I want a better quality of life.
