I pulled up Linda's pictures, and Rested Gal's models for my hubby to see before he took the wire cutters to my Aura, it took all of 3 seconds for the emancipation of my Aura - I can't wait to try it tonight. I will keep you posted.

Sleep well,
Tash

So much for the love affair...

I had been loving my Aura with taping and my heated hose (now that it works properly). My numbers were low, and I was starting to feel good. Until yesterday, when I took a good look in the mirror at my hairline, and realized I have NOTICABLE hair loss. EEK! So, it's time to deconstruct my Aura... Ke...

DSM,
My guess is, they figured if it worked, it wasn't filled with drugs...

Take care,

Den, Yeah, that was more like what I experienced - it just kinda hit me that I would be dependent on this machine for the rest of my life. I think I've worked thru most of that now (hopefully that is just a phase without relapses...) The good news is, it's working for me, and even with those thought...

Yoga, It was one that we had around the house, I am not sure how old it was, but I am sure it was pretty old so I wasn't too upset about it - the hardest part was figuring out it was the adapter and not the heated hose that was malfunctioning. I was quite bummed for a couple of hours (thinking it wa...

Wow, not sure if it was my new configuration, or if it was because my heated hose quit working, but last night was one STRANGE night for me... My hubby woke me up at 4 am - my mask was off, and my mouth was tape-free.... Funny thing is, it is somewhat uncomfortable to remove the tape (sticks SO well...

Den, Thanks! I just learned something VERY important last night - my heated hose hasn't been working (and here I was, blaming the Aura/Headrest...) I found the problem today, my old RadioShack adapter quit adapting (it died). I tried a different 12v adaptor, and presto- heat! I am looking forward to...

Snoozie - That is hilarious! My young daughter likes to ask me questions after the tape is on - mama can't answer... How are you doing? I know you were struggling with all of this just a while ago too... I hope it's going well, and really appreciated your words of supprt. I am looking forward to try...

Linda, Awesome pictures and instructions... every time I read more about deconstructing the Aura, I get a little more brave to try it...but not quite enough yet. I just cut up two of my warmest pair of cold weather knee high socks, and created a full cover for the Aura tubing, and cut slits on the s...

Ozij, Oooh, great!!! I will put it on the "must buy" list for my next trip to the store. How does it do for staying put all night? I have been using the 1" wide fabric style tape that Rested Gal recommended (2 strips w/ a fold on one end).. How wide is this tape? Thanks for the info, it will help sh...

Rested Gal, Thanks for the reply! Yep, I am no longer a tape virgin. It was kinda scary the first night, and my young daughter gets a kick out of it - "Don't forget to tape your mouth, mama. Can I watch?" I am very happy with how I feel the day after, so it's worth it. I am pretty sure my machine do...

Hi all! Checkin' in...

I haven't had much free time lately, but wanted you to know that I miss reading/chatting with you all. I have been doing ok. I have experienced afew things in the last couple of weeks - like, I learned to make sure after you take apart your humidifier that the bottom is secured before filling it - I...

Hang in there Suzy and just don't give up. I had a really rough last two weeks, but last night actually had a good night (i.e, no rainout, no major leaks, slept all night, and woke with the fog lifting). Even if I just get an occassional day like today seems to be (Wew HOO!) it will be enough to mak...
