This has nothing to do with Devices that will not be used during the flight. I think this battery requirement is only for devices that are meant to be used In-Flight. If we want to just carry our CPAP machines, this Battery requirement doesn't apply to us.

Yes, I think you need to do two things. 1. Tighten your mask more to lower your leaks. 2. Stick with CPAP. Look at your data. you've had a couple of nights with very good AHI < 5 with CPAP. On Auto, you're all over the place. Stick with CPAP at that pressure. And please, let us know if you've found ...

You should stick with CPAP to diagnose what's wrong, IMO. What is your Leak Rate? If there's no change in leak rate, then bump up the pressure by 1, and see how it goes. If there is an increased Leak Rate, then tighten your mask, and keep it at the same Pressure. But do not try to diagnose this with...

Have you tried getting a cloth strip, and wrapping your eyes with them? Also, try getting a differnet mask. I use an Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask, and I don't have problems with dry eyes. I feel for you. I understand the frustration of Sleep Apnea. Try using a cloth strip, and see if that doesn't hel...

[quote="yardbird"]Well... at 9cm (auto is off) my numbers look worse than the previous night on auto. AHI = 8 (holy cow) at 9cm: Apneas 5.4, Hypops: 2.6, Snore: 56.1 on auto the night before: Apneas 4.1, Hypops: 2.3, Snore: 15.1 and the AHI was 6.4 The "swarms" of snore and apnea events correlate to...

Well I am happy for the AHI you achieved, but don't do like the crew of the USS Lincoln and put up a "Mission Accomplished" banner yet. Three hours of sleep is just not enough to be healthy. Now you need to go down another path that many of us have traveled and to some extent are still traveling. Y...

to clarify.... you are not "cured" of apnea. You are "successfully treated" You've still got apnea. heheheh Yes, you're right. I'm not really cured of Apnea, but effectively, as long as I continue to use the CPAP therapy, I no longer have sleep problems. Wow, that is a great set of numbers! Hopeful...

Yes indeed, setting my APAP to my Sleep Study Titration setting did the trick! Last night, I set my APAP to CPAP mode, with a pressure of 10cm, and it worked! I averaged .3 AHI over 3 hours of sleep. Success! I realize that APAP is not as good as straight CPAP for curing Sleep Apnea. APAP is only go...

Second Night: Total AHI: .3
Total Time: 2:13am to 5:05am Pressure: 10 OA: 0.0 H: .3 Total AHI: .3 Leakage: 39.0 I'm happy to report that the first night's high AHI problem did not recur the second night. Though I only slept for 3 hours, Total AHI was only .3!! This basically means that Sleep Apnea is now cured for me. As long ...

IMO, a leak rate of 60 to 65 with that mask is within tolerances and your machine should be able to maintain a pressure of 10 cm. Yes, I agree with you. If there was a large leak, the Viewer software would've reported a "large leak", and also the Machine itself would have some alert about it. One m...

What is the Encore Pro Analyzer? The Viewer software that I have seesm to show a lot of information, and data, graphs. Am I missing something that I need? One thing that I dislike about the Viewer is that I can't save the File to Hard Disk. I can only print it out. I wish I could save it on a file s...

What's the difference bewteen the Viewer and the Encore Pro?
I realize that I have the Viewer software, and not the Encore Pro.
Is there a difference between the two that I should get the Encore Pro?

1. What are the peak points of leak rate during the problematic hour? Peak points during the 4th - 5th hour varies wildly, from 25 to about 60-65. The average Leak rate was 35. The Viewer Software says, there were no LARGE LEAKS. So, during this period, the Leak Rates were higher than the other pre...

Before you start changing settings, what is your leak rate? Do you have Encore Pro software? Yes, I have Encore Pro Software. My leak rate was 35. I used a Ultra Mirage Full Face mask. But in the 4th to 5th hour ( last hour of my sleep when my AHI was highest at 23.7 ), the graphs show that the Lea...
