Has anyone tried snoringsolutionsite.com?
I'm sorry y'all but I really hate cpap so I'm always looking at these "alternatives". Has anyone tried this wrap thing that goes around your head and supposedly holds your bottom jaw forward so your tongue doesn't fall back and block your airway?

Re: My Teeth Hurt...Help???
Haven't checked the forum for awhile and was glad to see this issue brought up. I just got a new Resmed S8 Elite 2--and I can finally tolerate cpap for more than a couple hours (I was diagnosed in March). I use a cradle cushion that sits on my upper lip. In the morning my teeth ache -- same feeling ...

Re: M-series AutoCpap machine users--help me please!
Hello, Tealady! GoodnightHoser here. (Everynight before I 'hose up' I say to my husband, "Say 'Goodnight, Hoser' and he whispers "Goodnight, Hoser..." Ain't it romantic?) It's been a while since I posted that original message. I was spending an inordinate amount of late night hours on this forum lea...

Pianomagoo---(love that name!) You will never be alone in this now that you've found this forum! You seem like you research all this stuff really well and are taking charge of your own therapy. I on the other hand stay up late reading this forum so I don't have to put the mask on. When I do finally ...

I have suffered terribly from dry itchy eyes since I started cpap 4 or 5 months ago (seems like ETERNITY). I faithfully put drops in them every night. My husband is a veterinarian - not an opthamologist!- but he thinks the pressure from the machine is causing air to blow from my sinuses up through t...

cradle cushion
That's interesting--but I can't figure out how it would cause your nostril to collapse. I have engorged turbinates, a deviated septum and a polyp in my nose and the pressure of the air (my pressure is actually blows my sinuses OPEN, sucks my mouth shut and I can actually breathe through my nose when...

cradle cushion
Try cpap.com and type in "cradle cushion" in the search thing and see if it pops up. By the way DME's rarely mention any options....

Simple cushion?
Are you talking about the "cradle cushion"? I've never heard of a simple cushion. I use the cradle cushion and find it a little more tolerable than the pillows but it doesn't cover the tip of your nose. It just kind of sits on your upper lip and sucks itself on to the underside of your nose when you...

scripts
I have no idea what is on my script. I have also never seen any written evaluations of my sleep studies. All I know was what I could cajole out of the sleep technicians (one of whom was a CNA) when I left in the morning. At my second sleep study I seemed to know more than the little gal that was run...

bloating
Old Lincoln--what do you mean by serious bloating and how did the apap help? Does that mean the straight pressure is too high for you sometimes? The med supply place just called me and told me to bring my S8 in to adjust the pressure since my last sleep study two weeks ago. Are they going to be mad ...

dropping rental agreement
That's what I'm hoping I can do. But if you buy from cpap.com how do you know you'll like what you get. This whole thing seems like a very expensive "hit an miss" situation. You don't like your m-series?

M-series AutoCpap machine users--help me please!
Newbie of four months here! Been to two sleep studies-one put me at a pressure of 12 and the second one at 8 cm. I have been using a Resmed S8 elite machine rented from the medical supply store. Now they want me to buy it and I HATE it! The WHEEZING noise coming from it makes me insane. It's not com...

Noisy Resmed S8 elite
Hi Y'all--just came back from my second sleep study. Tech gave me a smaller cradle cushion than I had (went from a medium to a small). It leaked a little less and I actually SLEPT for a couple hours. She moved me from a 12 to an 8. I have never slept at home for more than 2 or 3 hours a night since ...

Foam mattresses
Thankyou everybody from Goodnight Hoser. I shall check out the epinion.com thing. You're right I should probably try a topper before investing in the whole bed thing. I did notice when I tried one out in the store that when I went to roll over I just kind of stuck there (kind of like when I was 9 mo...

Are the foam mattresses hot?
I'm looking for a new mattress and need some opionions. They had a foam mattress at the sleep clinic and I was glad to try it out--but as we all know your first night on a sleep study isn't exactly RESTFULL. I'm normally kind of hot at night and don't want to invest money in a foam mattress or even ...
