I didn't find this place until I already had my machine. My doctor referred me to the DMA she wanted. I went and was put on the Resmed Autospirit first. I loved that machine. They knew about my insurance, and could even tell me what they would pay. Later I had to turn the autospirit in and they gave...

Allen, I'm so glad you had a good night's sleep at your sisters. Sounds as though you picked up some good ideas too. There is absolutely nothing that refreshes and gives a new outlook on life as having good sleep. Like you, I didn't realize just how it was effecting my life until I started using my ...

DSM and Sharon, thanks for your replies. No air conditioning here. I'm on the Oregon coast and coming into winter just means rain and more rain. My oil heat does dry the house out, but at night, it's turned down, and I'm in my bedroom with door closed. No forced air. Last night I used hot tap water,...

Hi Ted. I guess you missed it, but I said in my post that I'd upped the setting to the highest, which is 6, during the night and felt no difference. Last night, I started with hot tap water, and it worked better. At least the air was warm. I had a bad waking up night, so maybe tonight will be better.

sharon, obscene noises I got! Woke me up wondering what was going on. But after awhile, the mask started fitting better. I sleep on my side and even on my stomach, smashing and poking my Joe Boxer pillows just right, until my face sort of hangs over the edge but the mask is secure. I'm going to do t...

Jan, I just posted this question elsewhere today. That was before I did some looking and found your post. Last night was the first night using a humidifier. I have the Humidaire 2i. I started at a 3 setting, and went up to 6 in the night, and still didn't feel humidity or warmth. As you said, the wa...

First night with humidifier(?)
My humifidier came yesterday and I couldn't wait for bed time. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference. The instructions said to start with a setting of 3 (humidifier type in my profile) but during the night I cranked it up to 6, and still had dry mouth. I was looking forward to at least feeling th...

I think I like my Ultra Mirage FF. I tried just the nose mask when I first started with C-PAP, but it didn't work for me as my mouth drops open when I'm sleeping. I can't compare it to any other, but I've not had trouble with it once I got used to it. I'm about due for another, so I'll keep reading ...
