I agree with Stryker, preheating my HH is a must. There is an amazing difference between a preheated HH and just starting it up when you put the mask on. Also, don't get overly discouraged if your first setup doesn't work, it is rare for anyone to hit the right combination right out of the gate. It ...

My old Respironics passover humidifier never showed any condensation and required a weekly cleaning to avoid growing any kind of nasties, I now use a Respironics integrated HH and there is always condensation in the chamber, we also turn the heat down to about 58 degrees at night so I would expect c...

I was fortunate enough to recently receive a brand new FP 431 from a friend of mine who couldn't use it. After the first three nights I fell in love with it. It is the most comfortable, most quiet and easiest to clean mask I have ever used. I put three years on another brand FF mask and thought that...

Snork1 wrote, "My DME finally 'fessed-up, while still trying to blame it all on respironics." Ahhh, now we know the rest of the story. Wonder how many other machines your DME has mysteriously "lost". Knowing what happened now, it really amazes me that the customer rep. literally lied to your face. I...

Snork, I sure am glad you have another machine to use and that it is working well for you. I have to believe that your DME is blowing smoke up somewhere other than your nostrils. Let me explain why. I dropped my machine off at my DME on 12/5/05. This was after using a loaner over the weekend that th...

I'll be interested to see how this all turns out for you. If Respironics did drop the ball I would be calling them and letting them know about it. I only live about 30 miles from their headquarters and have seen and heard nothing but positive things about the company. I do agree with your sentiments...

DSM, I recently had my Remstar Pro returned for repair and ii came back from Respironics running quieter than it ever had. Can't tell it is running except for the air rushing out of it. I noticed that the parts used to repair it were listed as being for an Auto machine(they basically pulled the cove...

Snork1, my experience with returning a machine to Respironics is exactly the opposite of what your is. I have to believe that you need to question your DME about the "missing" machine. I have to wonder though why you have waited four months and not questioned them before this. http://www.cpaptalk.co...

Remstar HH confusion
I have a chance to buy a new in the box Remstar integrated heated humidifier for my Remstar Pro with Cflex machine. The confusion comes in the fact that my machine only has two connections in the back. One for AC power and one for DC power, the other connection, which I assume would be for the humid...

Thanks for the info rested, you need to have your own section of the board for product reviews. The HC150 is impressive and particularly interesting is the ambient tracking feature. Does this feature really work or would I still need to insulate the hose? We normally turn the heat down to about 60 d...

A happy ending to the E-23 fiasco. In desperation I stopped to see my RT and was pleasantly surprised when she suggested that I take one of her loaner machines and let her send my machine in to Respironics for an estimate to repair. At least I would have an idea how much it was going to cost before ...
