I have mine installed under Virtual PC on a Mac so it's not a typical setup, but I get that happening a lot. Have you tried unplugging the USB lead and reconnecting? When that doesn't work for me I insert the card into the smart reader and then try unplugging and reconnecting. Sorry to sidetrack, b...
