Re: Straight cpap vs. auto
I like an APAP since it adjusts to events. If I have been drinking I need more air than normal. If I add or lose body weight it could change my pressure. My sleep study put me at 13 CM but my APAP has me at 0.6 AHI on only 11.4 CM. There is no reason I need 13 CM. The two nights I spent at the sleep...

Re: Letter to Customers: CPAP.com Prescription Policy Change
My doctor only knows what Sleep Apnea is and how to spell CPAP. I had to explain to him what an APAP was after my sleep study test. Luckily I was just there since I was considering a backup machine for travel and as a backup.

Re: Zeo Personal Sleep Coach?
Just saw a segment on Fox & Friends (Sunday) with two of the two Zeo inventors that had one of the news host wear one Zeo headband last night before the interview. It showed by his five hours of sleep and showed times when he was awake and REM sleep. I saw two different patterns that showed when he ...

I agree sounds like you could be leaking air out your mouth when you sleep. Try a chinstrap if you are using a nasel mask.

Re: 1st follow up with sleep doctor - disappointing
I was only allowed to go see my regular GP doctor and the sleep doctor diagnosed me from my test results. Slinky and a few others on this board taught me everything I need to know. The trick is getting the best mask for you.

Re: ResMed CPAP vs APAP - comments please?
I have the S8 Elite™ II with Easy-Breathe and love it. I was prescribed 13 on a CPAP but the S8 APAP keeps me at 10.8 and my AHI is 3.8 which is normal. I spent the extra money getting a APAP and it was money well spent. I had a buddy that had been prescribed 18 on a CPAP and when he got a new S8 El...

Re: Swift LT Pillows
I tried to clip a small 1/8 moon shape from only the inside of a pillow tubes so the outside nasal tube section wasn't changed on a small pillows since the air passes through are TOO SMALL . Now I got a screwed up small pillow and moved to the medium pillow. Wish they were a little longer.

Re: Swift LT
I use the Swift LT and had some soreness in the inside bottom nasal borders when I first got it for about 8 weeks. I used KY jelly inside my nostril that would dry and Cover up the sensitive skin and the friction as I moved breathing. The KY Jelly would even give a better seal as it dried. At some p...

Re: humidifier cleaning
Didn't know I was supposed to dilute the vinegar. I just pour white vinegar in the hose and shake it a lot from end to end then rinse with water. It has a smells for a few minutes but it didn’t bother me. Had to clean my tank with a toothbrush one time when it got some yellow stain. I worried about ...

Thanks, I was starting to wonder how this happen to me. At one time I would open my mouth to see if the Apap started up on Auto after I started breathing through my mask. Then one day I couldn't tell by opening my mouth. I was worried my soft palate was getting weaker due to the air pressure. I like...

It's hard to relate to Mouth Breathers since Swift LT
I been on a xpap for about 3 months now. I was told from my sleep test I was a mouth breather and had severe sleep apnea. So, I got a chin strap and started using it. After two weeks with the chin strap when I had a Ultra Mirage II Nasal mask I found out I could sleep with out the chin strap. But, i...

All my ticks like KY Jelly and O-rings to make my LT fit were a waste of time after I anchor the hose to the headgear like it's made to do. The weight of the hose just pulls it off if you don't use the headgear mount. Now I can slip in on and off at will in bed and don't have to mess around. The onl...
