I noticed a strong salty taste my 1st few weeks. So much so that I thought my gums were bleeding or something. I found out that can be a symptom of a dry mouth which of course can happen with CPAP. I don't notice it much any more.

try squeezing your nostrils a little and see if the leaks stops. Just a little, not all the way shut or anything.
