Re: Amazon Apnea Tracker

ResMed discontinued its S+ sleep tracker that used radar technology. I still use mine from time to time, but the updates and support have ceased. It looks like Amazon might taking up this technology and combine it with its Alexa AI.

Re: Self-Diagnosing, Looking for Min/Max Pressure Recommendations

I think that is an excellent point. They're also going to upsell him a bunch of things he probably doesn't need.

Re: Self-Diagnosing, Looking for Min/Max Pressure Recommendations

I would recommend shopping for a home sleep study service. I did a brief search, and this seemed worth investigating: https://lofta.com/products/sleep-apnea-test?variant=12067210690607&utm_campaign=home_sleep_test_search&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=CjwKCAiAirb_BRBNEiwALHlnD1B7RigoWtgp78kw...

Re: Newbie Taping Mouth Shut

Perhaps a full-face mask? I was given a nose mask and could not keep my mouth shut (many of my friends say this is a problem while I'm awake as well). I switched to a full-face mask and its done the trick.

Re: Does anyone have info about Apria?

I use Apria because my HMO (Kaiser Permanente) uses them. I live in the Los Angeles area. I have dealt with them three or four times for replacement items and twice for a CPAP machine. They have always been very friendly and customer-oriented. This last time I walked in without an appointment (actua...

Thanks for the information on the sleep wakefulness test. I am also a private pilot with a 3rd class. This summer, I'm going back to my flight surgeon to find out what I need to do to get my certificate back. Nice to know you got yours back.

Yep....mine lost an hour too in my Encore Pro data. I suppose it really didn't loose anything, though, just skipped ahead an hour. I wonder what it will do when we loose an hour in the fall.

Wow....what a proft margin! The 525 asking price seems closer to cpap.com's list of 423.00; but still high. Before having to seek treatment for OSA I didn't have a chronic medical condition and was out of touch with the whole medical care system. No wonder our health care system is so screwed up.

M Series CPAP on Yahoo......auction rip-off

It seems the seller of this item doesn't realize it is available on CPAP.COM for considerbly less than the price of 525.00 it is selling as a non-auction price; what a rip-off. In addition, the seller states: "This unit will retail for $1750 when released to the public for sale...." Anyway..needed t...

I upload the data from my Smart Card daily, though I only print MyEncore daily reports. On Sunday AM, I print out a week's worth of detailed data and attach it to the daily reports. [/b]

ComfortFull FF mask 4. AEIOmed Headrest, aka Aura 5. Respironics Comfort Curve I use the Ultra Mirage FF most of the t...

I have one and use it as a kind of back-up for my Ultra Mirage FFM; however, I find that I have to really carefully adjust it in order to sleep on my side. On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 6.

My guess is that they will price it to compete with units like the PB420G; it seems they are marketing it as a traveller, so it would stand to reason that units like the 420G would be thier immediate competition. It will be interesting to see if they can come to compete with APAP units and even with...

The variable breathing number is only an indirect measurement of REM; it records the time spent in irregular breathing compared to your slow, steady, rhythmic breathing typical of deep sleep. However, the machine can record other phenomena associated with irregular breathing that are not exclusive t...

Respironics does not specifically mention compatibility with their APAP machines; I suppose, as with thier Comfort Curve that this will also be compatible with the APAP machine.

I wonder how this compares noise-wise with the Headrest by Aeiomed.
