Pekoepup, I have the same equipment as you (I think!), and I have been on for about a month. Never had the rain-out issue at all, so I'm not sure why that is happening. As for the chinstrap, are you sure you need it? I had to have one during my titration because I was mouth breathing. But the tech s...

Thanks, Wulfman. On a broader topic, I have been on CPAP for about 3 weeks now, and I would have to say that I'm tolerating the treatment fine. I sleep through the night and my wife reports that my snoring is gone. All good news. But I would also have to say that I have not noticed a significant dif...

Card Reader

Hello all. I started my treatment about a month ago and had posted earlier a question about how to access the data on my SmartCard. The word I got was that I need a 3500 card reader and the Encore software. All makes sense. My question now is about buying the reader. I see that the USB Encore SmartC...

Country4ever: Actually, it went very well I'd say. The biggest complication was that the All-Star game ran late and I didn't get to bed until 1:30! All in all, it went very smoothly. Didn't wake up or have any problems during the night. Not a huge difference in my energy this morning, but then again...

Can I access the data on my smart card?

I've just started CPAP treatment (last night was first night, as noted in other post), and I was wondering about something. My machine has a smart card so the Dr can see how the treatment has been going. But I don't see him for 3 months. Is there any way I can access the data that's collected, just ...

Hey, thanks all. And yes on the distilled water and emptying of the humidifier. I hate the idea of adding tasks to my morning routine, so I'm looking for the simplest and quickest way to do what's necessary. I'm sure that will take some getting used to. By the way, is there any way I can access the ...

1st night report...

Well, one down, the rest of my life to go. Actually, it went very well I'd say. The biggest complication was that the All-Star game ran late and I didn't get to bed until 1:30! But that said, I set the machine up and tried it out ahead of time. Had the heat on 2 on the humidifier, and after a little...

No 'ifs' about it. She'll climb right up on my lap and lay her head on my shoulder. Then when she falls asleep she'll roll over on her back.

What's so odd about that???

Thanks, Insomniyak. That's our Golden Retriever, Baliey, at about 6 months old. She's not over a year. What a great addition to our family! We've had a little Terrier mix for 10+ yrs, and we love her. But she's just not a 'warm' dog. The Golden is everything the Terrier is not: playful, affectionate...

Great feedback, as always. Thanks. Here's a question: They had me make a follow up appt for 3 months from now to have the Doc check my data and make any adjustments that are needed. Seems like a long time to go before checking. If the setting is wrong or if the mask leaks, how would I know for sure?...

1st night on CPAP tonight!

OK, I have been absent for a while. Had my titration a couple of months ago, then got sidetracked and finally was in to get my equipment today. I'm really looking forward to getting started and hopefully seeing results. Here's what I got: REMstar Pro M Series- heated humidifier, ramp, , smart card, ...

Drinky, I'm a 48 yr old man about to start CPAP therapy. I'm really looking forward to having more energy and using that to get in better shape. To get a head start, I've started eating better. I used to eat a LOT of junk every day, with no regard for my health. A little over 3 weeks ago I weighed 2...

Snoredog,

Thanks for that feedback. I was a little surprised to get the data in letter form when I saw that the Dr was looking at a detailed report (pie charts, graphs, etc.) when he was talking to me. I'll call the office and tell them I want the full report.

Have a great holiday weekend!

Bob
