Re: Resmed Airfit P30i standard Vs. small
Hmm. ..Neither I nor my husband get any soreness whatsoever with this pillow mask. The pillows sit gently just in the inner edges of the nares and seal off well that way. They seem to be just floating there. I have the back strap just tight enough so that the frame stays put, but not any tighter. It...

Re: Resmed Airfit P30i standard Vs. small
Try the medium pillows...they might work better for you... My husband is using the large frame now and also experienced a lot of leakage. We went back to the place where he bough the machine from, and they said that the large mask was a bit loo large, causing a leak, he should be using the medium in...

Re: Can CPAP machine increase rate of breathing and blood pressure ?
Thanks for the help. I got my new Airsense Autoset S10 for Her. The Dr. was willing to give a prescription without another formal sleep study, just wants a report from the machine.

Re: How to Interpret Airset Autoset S10 for Her Report
Thanks, but I really wanted to understand if we should be concerned about my husband's leakage and apneas ? Although the mask seemed to be O.K., his leaks were 25L/min, AHL 9.4, Total Al 8.7, Central Al 7.4. Is this normal ? In comparison to mine, as I already posted above, I show no leakage, no Al.

How to Interpret Airset Autoset S10 for Her Report
I have been using my new Airset Autoset S10 for Her for 5 day now, and my husband has bough the same machine. I was questioning the Dr. but he said not to get hung up on the "For Her", the machine would be O.K. for my husband too who was keen on getting a new machine too without having to do a sleep...

Re: Can CPAP machine increase rate of breathing and blood pressure ?
To update you. after having stopped using the old resmed respironics machine my blood pressure has improved somewhat. However I did my 24 h monitoring, and my Dr commented that my nightly blood pressure in relation to my daytime BP is a bit higher than one would expect. Since then I bought a new mas...

Re: Resmed Airfit P30i standard Vs. small
Well, thank you both, you got me convinced, I just ordered the small system ! In the meantime my husband tried my system with the standard frame and wants to keep it, although he finds it a bit noisy ( I don't) he says he'll get used to it and likes this system better than the swift fx he has been u...

Re: Resmed Airfit P30i standard Vs. small
Thank you Eliz25. This is interesting. Could you please explain why you think the small system fits better and is more comfortable? Can I assume because it is smaller but there is not a big difference between the two because obviously both the standard and the small system can work for you , one jus...

Resmed Airfit P30i standard Vs. small
Just wondering if anyone has tried both the STANDARD and SMALL fit of the Resmed Airfit P30i mask system and can tell the difference between the two in terms of the frame size in cm or inches? I have searched Resmed's website, called several online suppliers, they show pictures of what a proper fit ...

Re: Can CPAP machine increase rate of breathing and blood pressure ?
Thank you Pugsy that is good to know.
I just checked online, the cost for a 24 h monitor would be mine, it was quoted between $65 and $75 for the 24h period. I can see now why a Dr would not prescribe for much longer.....

Re: Can CPAP machine increase rate of breathing and blood pressure ?
Pugsy the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her sounds very intriguing, I just read up on it. Having a machine that functions automatically without any input from a technician at a sleep clinic sounds ideal. Only, I am not comfortable with having a modem right beside my head all night...unless this fea...

Re: Can CPAP machine increase rate of breathing and blood pressure ?
For the past 2 nights I have been using my travel machine, a Resmed S8 Elite II. It has the same settings as the old Remstar Respironics. I felt much better breathing with it than with the old machine, it feels gentler and much less of a struggle for me. Also, on both days my BP readings were better...

Re: Can CPAP machine increase rate of breathing and blood pressure ?
The machine I am using is a Remstar Respironics Cpap machine, an old work hose, but I Iove it for its solid construction and the large water tank. It does not collect data. After a bathroom trip at night I often struggle with the rhythm of the CPAP machine for a while. If I don't fall asleep soon, I...

Can CPAP machine increase rate of breathing and blood pressure ?
Hello all. I have been using CPAP machines for over 15 years, and I am not overweight ( well maybe I could loose 5 -8 pounds...) . Last spring I was due for a bi yearly check up in a sleep clinic but then COVID happened, so I have had no check up for almost 3 years now. I am trying to deal with high...

Re: I'm on my own in Ontario; as usual!
Thanks for pointing this out to me; I was already leaning towards the elite II without knowing the exact difference except that one retails for more than the other. Is there another difference between the escape II and the elite II, other than what you quoted above ? Will the elite II show these thi...
