Re: machine making allergies worse
nonsleeper,
In addition to using the humidifier also make sure you are using both filters for your cpap. One is a regular washable foam filter and the second is a fine filter which will filter out more than the foam filter.

Re: OT: hearing aids
I agree with mayondair. I went to an ear nose and throat specialist who has several audiologists on staff. The doc even wears hearing aids. I tried a mid price range hearing aid and decided on a higher end pair. I have not been disappointed. I did go with the regular sized behind the ear aids becaus...

Re: How far can squirrels swim? (might be OT)
Mac,
I guess how far a squirrel can swim would be dependent on the size of the fish in the lake. To a large fish the squirrel might be a snack. Or if your in the South, he might become 'gator food.

Roster, You might check with your electric company for a whole house surge protector. The local electric company here offers a whole house unit that they install and rent by the month. Mine is about $5.00 per month. It attaches to the meter base so no fitting is necessary. I have had one for several...

Re: Hose management and air travel
mstevens, I flew to Washington, D.C. last week and took my Cpap hose lift system by Arden Industries. I had no problems with it in my cpap case. I also carry a 15' extension cord that I wasn't sure would be allowed. No questions about it either. I guess they are seeing enough cpaps to know what we u...

Re: Where to buy a Replacement Power Cord( Aussie Heated Hose )
I bought a power supply for my first Aussie heated hose at Radio Shack. Take your old power supply so they can match the power and the connector. The connector was purchased separately from the power supply. I think it was called an M adapter but I may be mistaken on that. Here is what I found from ...

Re: Hose hangers: Bro Gho vs Arden Innovations
snuginarug, I own both the bro-gho and the arden. I bought the bro-gho first and planned to use it for travel. When I received it I realized it was too heavy and too bulky for travel. The arm that holds the hose won't flex like the arden. I am using the bro-gho at home now simply because I refuse to...

Ditto on the card. On my M series if I don't put the card in correctly the lights flash. Kinda like Lassie barking to tell Timmy that something is wrong.

Re: Does SleepZone heated hose stops nasal mask's rain-out?
rosacer, I have used the Aussie hose for several years now. I bought a backup Aussie last year but so far the original, which is about three years old, still works like new. I also use the activa mask. I did make a short fleece cover for the mask hose to help insulate it. I have no rainout even when...
