Re: Staying Asleep
Is the Airfit Mask the only mask you've tried extensively? Have you ever tried the Swift FX? I've never worn the Airfit, but it looks like the headgear is at least somewhat rigid right near the nose area. I have been using the Swift FX for a few years now, before that I had other nasal pillows and d...

Re: Batteries required by Airline to use cpap
So you have never had a power outage in your area? Consider it part of your travel costs. Save your money on something else. In 16 years at my current location, I've had one outage that lasted more then 10 minutes and wasn't planned. I had one planned outage that lasted a couple hours... the one un...

Re: New Mask from Philips Respironics
I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I personally can't hardly even imagine how there could be a nasal pillow mask any better then ResMed Swift FX. For those of you using this DreamWear, what is it exactly that you like so much about it? To me, the tubes coming down the side of my face like that, w...

Re: Batteries required by Airline to use cpap
So... well, I'm on a quest to find the best way to do this trip... In theory, I could get a seat on a Delta Airplane that has a 110 AC outlet, but the people at delta so far, can't tell me the maximum power capacity of the outlet. So, I'm still apprehensive about trying to use a AC outlet on their ...

Re: Are nasel pillows for low pressure treatment only?
I can't imagine how a rumor like that would even start. I've personally used nasal pillows since the start of my CPAP treatment , some 12 years ago. While I did briefly try other options, for me the nasal pillow is by far the most comfortable, particularlly with the most recent designs... Meanwhile....

Re: Batteries required by Airline to use cpap
I'm getting prepared to go on a trip to Taiwan from Detroit Michigan... I think the first leg is roughly 16 hours, then a nearly 2 hour layover and another 4 hour flight... or something like that. If you couple the fly time, with travel two and from the airport on both ends, waiting in line for secu...

Re: Insurance won't allow me to get Swift II
FYI I know I can find a mask online... it just seems crazy to me that a Insurance/DME can just up and decide that they will not cover a CPAP mask. To me, it's a bit like a insurance company telling you they won't pay for drug x, but will pay for drug y. If Drug x is the one that works the best , the...

Re: Insurance won't allow me to get Swift II
That's a Swift LT isn't it? I don't want a Swift LT... I can get a Swift LT from my insurance company/DME... I can't get a Swift II which is what I want.... but hey, I may have a new unopened Swift LT for sale myself soon... Well, looky what I just found..... http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/hab/12...

Re: Neck pain from straps
Normally I don't have too many issues with neck pain and the straps... but there have been a couple occasions since I've started using CPAP that it seems to be a issue. For me, it seems related to not being able to get my head/neck into a truly comfortable position. When all is well, my neck's not t...

Well I added my equipment info... My ramp time is set to 45 min starting at 6cm... Much lower then that and I can tell it's not really keeping my airway clear, higher then that, I'm just not comfortable when I first turn the machine on... I've got C-flex set to 3... During the course of a evening, I...

I hate to sound like a whiner... but my Dr. prescribed 9cm, the sleep tech had told me I did pretty good at 8cm (what ever she meant by that)... While I know that 9cm is not high by some people's standards... 9cm seems like it it inflates my lungs like a balloon... and I know I'm getting air in my s...
