Re: Sleepyhead, CMS50D+ and Mac Os X

Hi Julie - Your reply has confused me a little. Sleepyhead runs on OS X and now supports the CMS 50D+. Some have successfully imported data with Sleepyhead in a native Mac environment with this particular oximetre device. I've managed to import a couple of test sessions this afternoon but it's very,...

Re: Sleepyhead, CMS50D+ and Mac Os X

I can't get the CMS50d+ to work either on my Mac, running 10.9.5. Tried various versions of Sleepyhead including the latest one. Initially, after installation, my Oximetre is recognised and when I upload the data it says that the data upload has been successful, but there's nothing there in Sleepyhe...

Re: FullLife Sizing Guide

They're probably referring to the machine compensating for small leaks and not affecting therapy. A strange statement nonetheless Here's a link to Respironics' sizing and other info about the FullLife, including a video: http://fulllife.respironics.com/rightfit.aspx Note: link was originally missing...

Re: For the English members a question or two

Your local NHS hospital will provide the equipment. I think they still have a national contract with Respironics. In my experience they don't offer the Hybrid but it's worth asking if they will provide replacement seals and nasal pillows.

Re: Small nose bridge causing leaks?

Have you tried the Somnotech Soyala/Weinmann Joyce? I've tried 8 or 9 FFMs since I started CPAP and it's the only mask I've found that doesn't cause leaks into the eyes. I think this is largely down to the clever little flaps at the top of the seal which really help to seal well in that area. It's k...

Re: Out of the Loop...any word on Somnotech Gel Mask???

I've had the gel cushion for a couple of months. Over here the Soyala is called the Joyce. I've struggled with CPAP in a big way since I started over a year ago but I do like the gel seal. http://www.eu-pap.co.uk/joyce-full-face-gel-mask.html Update: Oops. I now see your post was about the nasal mas...

Re: Are Fisher & Paykel Masks As Well Made As ResMed?

Yes, that's what I meant. The clips have a cheap feel about them, especially on the Liberty. I found they would unclip too easily. Hi Chipbutty, Your post about ResMed's clips being flimsy, reminded me that I had heard about that before - They break and have to be replaced frequently - is that what ...

Re: Are Fisher & Paykel Masks As Well Made As ResMed?

Personally I've found the clips on Resmed's gear to be very flimsy. I own a couple of their masks. I also own a couple of F&P masks. No noticeable difference really in quality between the two companies products though.

Re: Inconsistent reliability of mask

I do exactly the same things every night. I've been on CPAP for one year now and after ten different masks (each in various sizes!) I struggle to use it for more than a few hours each night. I used to battle each and every night and would always wear it for 8 hours regardless of how little sleep I g...

Re: what's new FF masks?

I've just got this mask. Over here it's called the Joyce and the headgear is slightly different. After 9 months on CPAP and numerous masks I'm still trying to find something that doesn't leak after a couple of hours and is comfortable. Some nights I just give up and end up sleeping without it, thoug...

Re: liberty hybrid mask issues

Having tried both I much prefer tape. I find it much more comfortable and more effective. Like all CPAP stuff it's what works for you. ....... Having the pillows pushed about half way into the frame has worked for me. I still have them popping out occasionally, but I control that with a piece of tap...

Re: liberty hybrid mask issues

The Liberty and the Hybrid are two different masks. The Liberty is from Resmed and the Hybrid is from RespCare. The Hybrid has a chin flap. Which one do you have? I have both but have given up on the Liberty, though I do still use the Hybrid. Anyway, let us know which one you have and I'm sure folk ...

Re: SleepTracker Pro Short Review

I'm getting a bit off topic with regards to the SleepTracker but I noticed this device on a site I regularly visit here in the UK.

No doubt costs an absolute fortune and the rental is the cost of a CPAP machine!
