Setting date/time on RemStar Pro
I picked up a used RemStar Pro (not the M series) and would like to keep it at my mom's house for when I go visit her. I downloaded a user's manual, got good pressure, but I can't get the card to store any data (the card was erased when I got it), and there is no leak data or AHI info on the machine...

I am not hospital personnel, but I understand that hospitals use ventilators very similar to bilevel pap machines That was probably what I saw. My grandson was a preemie on cpap for his whole one year of life in the hospital but I never paid attention to whether he was hooked up to a separate machi...

I was recently hospitalized overnight for a minor surgery. The hospital would not let me bring and use my own bilevel. They insisted on using one of theirs. Are hospital machines different in some way? Any hospital personnel out there? I took my mother to the emergency room last week and noticed tw...

Cauliflower is a good white food. It sure is (with a little green at the base anyway). I love cauliflower, and have baked it into delicious mac & cheese. Of course the mac & cheese keeps the carb load up. I guess I just don't care for plain things at all. I will do steamed cauliflower with a lot of...

Houltkin, What could you do about that? It is almost ALWAYS a matter of priorities, isn't it? Karen - Yes it is priorities but also, like an alcoholic, a horse that is in charge of one's life. A lot of us can't control the horse. We americans are so into food and the advertisers know it. Show me a ...

My daughter lost a lot of weight. When I asked her how she did it, she simply said she quit eating everything white. Now I don't know if I could do that. One of my big problems is the food channel. I love it, but I am very suggestible. I have to have so many of the things they talk about. Especially...

Avoiding flour, sugar, and white potatoes almost ALWAYS results in weight loss. Don't ask me why sweet potatoes are allowed; but they apparently are digested as a complex carbohydrate despite their name. I guess there is a reason for testing the white potato for starch in our HS science class...tha...

I've joined a gym, and managed to gain 12 pounds in the past year. Well, I guess you can be comforted by the fact that muscle weighs more than fat. I have way too much bad food in the house, but I am working on that. I, too, buy veggies and they get thrown out because they are forgotten. I am eatin...

weight issues
When I went on cpap, I was told that I would lose weight and have lower blood pressure. The blood pressure is definitely coming down, but I'm really hungry all day and as a result my weight is up. I had not gained weight in several years, so I have to think the increased energy makes me want to eat ...

CPAP is therapy. It is like needing glasses to read. Don't wear your glasses you can't read the newspaper. Put your glasses on and you can read the newspaper. The difference is that long term, going w/o CPAP therapy when you have OSA is doing damage to your body. Each apnea deprives your body of th...
