Re: REM Headaches
Thanks for taking the time to respond. My thinking on physical things like pillows or bedding or even allergies and other things is that if there was a problem with things like this why don't I experience it during the first four or five hour of sleep? After roughly this amount of time I wake up and...

REM Headaches
Years of suffering from extreme headaches that usually always start in the morning and I think I am narrowing things down. I have eliminated many suspect causes but still I sometimes wake with a dull headache that gets worse throughout the day. Not nearly as bad as they used to be but it always happ...

Re: Auto SV, Headaches UPDATE
Once again a very big thank you to all who have helped me with this. I upped the pressure to EPAP 9min and for the first time I awoke the next day without a headache, and I didn't even have to use any Imitrex! I had been meaning to post some data but that crappy Encore Pro program keeps loosing data...

Auto SV, Headaches
I am still getting these painful headaches in the morning when I wake up. Last night I was able to use the Auto SV for most of the night and I thought I was OK but a smaller headache started to creep up on me after waking. I am wondering what I might try to improve my numbers or are they really not ...

Re: BiPAP Auto SV Advanced, Encore Pro 2, Card Reader
Thank you very much for the info. That was very helpful. I experimented with those settings and I did find a much more comfortable setting. I can now make it about four hours without waking up. So I am on the right track. I am waiting for the smartcard reader so I can better understand the data. Tha...

Re: BiPAP Auto SV Advanced, Encore Pro 2, Card Reader
The Auto SV seems to be doing the job. I haven't woken with a headache and I no longer feel the dull achy painful dense thick head thing that usually always occurs in the morning. I need to get back on a normal sleep schedule. Right now I don't fall asleep until late in the morning. 9:00AM yesterday...

Re: BiPAP Auto SV Advanced, Encore Pro 2, Card Reader
I did find a link to a DT3000 software driver but it didn't work out. I got an error about not being able to start the smart card services. I got this same error when I tried to install the Encore Viewer 2.0 software. It might have something to do with the fact that I don't have a serial port and I ...

Re: Encore Viewer - I "killed" my computer - can't find the disc
Well if your not afraid of torrents you can just type into Google "Respironics Torrents" and you will see it show up. I think that is the only way to download it from the net.

BiPAP Auto SV Advanced, Encore Pro 2, Card Reader
I have the Respironics BiPAP Auto SV Advanced along with the Encore Pro ver 2.2 but I only have Infineer DT3000 Serial Smart Card Reader, I don't have the USB version. What I am finding out is that this won't work with the Encore Pro 2.0 software. Is that correct? Serial Card reader doesn't work wit...

Re: ASV Legacy setup
Ok, the first night was not a grand slam but I think I am on the right track. I didn't fall asleep until 7:00AM and I took that time to study the machine and got it setup to what was listed above. I still didn't sleep for more then an hour or two at the most, but what would usually happen is during ...

Re: ASV Legacy setup
I overnighted the machine and I have it setup but of course questions come up. 1. Are there any default values for the other settings like the alarms and rise time and tidal volume. 2. How does the humidifier work? You press the button and it says "heat" on the LCD, but how do you adjust the heat le...

Re: ASV Legacy setup
I ordered the machine and it should be here tomorrow. I have to try something. I can't go on with this daily misery and pain. I guess I will find out if it helps or not in a day or three. I plan on taking it real slow and maybe using it for a short block of sleep. I guess I will be a Guinea pig for ...

Re: ASV Legacy setup
Banned,
I've self-titrated on all my ASVs.
Can you give me an idea on how you went about adjusting the settings to self-titrate?
What things did you look at and what adjustments were made. Just some general thoughts on what was done. Hopefully to save me some grief.
Thanks
Russ

Re: ASV Legacy setup
This forum has been a real life saver and I really appreciate everyone's help with this. Thank you for those starting numbers. Honestly people in this group and secondwindcpap, where I am buying the machine from know more about sleep than the doctors I work with, but I am talking to my clinic doctor...

ASV Legacy setup
I had been posting questions regarding my unsuccessful treatment of my sleep apnea. To Summarize: Can't afford sleep study. Purchased Auto BiPAP. Still woke up with headaches and feeling awful after years. Suspect CSA. Which makes sense because I have now learned it is a side effect of a drug I am t...
