Re: Study Comparing CPAP and Oral Appliances
I was told I was a good candidate for a dental appliance. Although I was (still am) very satisfied with my CPAP, I hope to have a decent alternative when I traveled. Unfortunately, I didn't find the dental appliance helpful at all. It was a very expensive test that did not work at well for me.

Respironics Dreamstation vs. System One Differences?
Aside from the size difference, is there any significant difference between the Respironics Dreamstation Auto and the older System One Auto with Bluetooth?

Re: DME trying to give me a brick?
You can call several DMEs and try to find one who will give you what you want. You might try having your sleep doctor write a scrip specifying the Auto Airsense.

Replacement for my M-Series Auto?
I’m getting ready to replace my Respironics M-Series Auto. However, I’ve been unable to determine whether there are any significant differences between the most recent Respironics and Resmed machines and their immediate predecessors. Is the Respironics Dreamstation Auto significantly different than ...

Re: dental device woes
I've been using a dental appliance for the past week in the hope that I might be able to use it while traveling overseas. So far, I have not had a good night's sleep with it, and I don't, at this time, have high expectations. I plan on giving it another week before packing my CPAP for my next trip.

Re: Traveling to Japan with CPAP
I've been to Japan several times and never had trouble bringing my CPAP machine. In fact, I'm planning on bringing it with me in two weeks.

Re: United Airlines new carry-on policy goes into effect March 1
I haven't been to London for several years, so my experience may no longer be relevant. When I flew from London, I was permitted only one carry-on bag and no exceptions were made for CPAP machines. As a result, I had to jam my CPAP machine into my backpack, and put my hose and mask in the suitcase t...

Re: Tap Pap Mouth Piece
Thanks a lot.
It feels much more comfortable once I boiled the mouthpiece. Hope I can get used to a mouthpiece in my mouth.

Tap Pap Mouth Piece
I purchased the "new, improved" tap pap a few months ago, but never got around to giving it a good test. Now I've forgotten which mouth piece is the original one and which is the "new, improved" version. Can anyone tell me how to tell them apart?

Re: Newbie, Asthma, Sinus Issues Oh My!
I, too, have recurring nasal polyps and have had multiple surgeries. I've never been able to get a good seal with a full face mask. However, surprisingly, I do very well with nasal pillows. I've found that if any air at all can get through my nose, the nasal pillows work. Except for those times that...

Re: Airlines and cpap
Unless things have changed recently, when flying out of London (and perhaps other parts of the UK) you are only permitted one carry-on - and that includes your CPAP.
