Re: I Stopped Leak Puffing With Nasal Mask

I'm sorry to report that the soda straw-fix let me down last night. I puffed a couple of times and found that I was getting too much saliva causing me to have to swallow a lot. Maybe I'll try mouth tape. I hope I don't leak because I'll explode if I leak into my mouth. :D

I'm going to try this Somnifix device
Somnifix is not a device. Somnifix is nothing like the PureSleep device.

Did you misgoogle?
Please give me a link to what you are talking about.

Re: I Stopped Leak Puffing With Nasal Mask

What was your leak rate? My thoughts as well... This would be my only concern with using the DIY stent to release the pressure. It's probably not going to be a huge thing but I would want to verify just to make sure. It is essentially creating a known mouth leak....which may or may not be something...

Re: I Stopped Leak Puffing With Nasal Mask

This reminds me of the little mouth vent on Somnifix. I went to the website for Somnifix and bought one after reading this: "Yes, you can use PureSleep if you breathe through your mouth during sleep as there is a lot of space between the upper and lower components of the device to allow air to free...

I Stopped Leak Puffing With Nasal Mask

Straw to prevent puffing-small.jpg Slits in end of straw.jpg I was troubled by air filling my mouth and puffing between my lips which disturbed my sleep. I fixed it. No more puffing. I cut a soda straw about in half and cut some slits about 1/2" long in one end. I put that end into my mouth between...

Just Found the Respironics Pico

It's a nasal mask that's very small and light. It hardly leaks. My AHI has dropped to 0.39. I've been on CPAP 15 years and I was very active on this board when I first began. I started with the Swift. Many, including Rested Gal liked this mask, but I found it noisy. Couldn't stand it. I migrated to ...

Re: Puzzled by Pressures

It's been a long time since I've posted. When I was active on this forum Sleepygal was the most active source. Now, it seems that Pugsy is. Thanks, again, Pugsy.

Re: Puzzled by Pressures

Thanks very much, Pugsy. I watched the YouTube on CPAP Check Mode. I had already found the user manual for my machine and learned, "• CPAP-Check – If available on your device, this mode delivers CPAP therapy while automatically adjusting the pressure level to meet your needs. Pressure adjustments wh...

Re: Puzzled by Pressures

I found this on another board, "The patient's user's manual says this about C-Check: "CPAP Check (C-Check) - If available on your device, this mode delivers CPAP therapy while automatically adjusting the pressure level to meet your needs. Pressure adjustments while in CPAP-Check mode are more gradua...
