Re: I got my new machine and mask!
maz: what EXACTLY makes that Swift "for ladies?" The headgear is a lot smaller than the regular one. That's the difference that I see in it. It's also a light blue color and some kind of design on it. It came with covers for the part that sits on your cheeks which is a lot better. It's a lot more c...

Re: I got my new machine and mask!
I forgot to change the machine that is showing on the bottom of my post. That's my old one. This is the one I just got: https://www.cpap.com/cpap-machine/remstar-auto-m-series-c-flex.html I looked all over the machine and can't find a place for the card. I guess I'm going to have to call and see whe...

I got my new machine and mask!
I finally received my new cpap and mask two days ago. I ended up getting the M Series Auto CPAP Machine with C-Flex. I don't know if I'm just going blind or what, but I can't find where the smart card is. If anyone has one of these machines and it has a smart card can you tell me where it's at? As f...

Re: My Sleep Study Results
I have an appointment with the doctor that read the sleep study, but it's not until May! It takes forever to get in to see those doctors. My family doctor told me to not stop using my cpap so that's what I'm going to do for now. When I called the doctors office that read my study last week and asked...

Re: My Sleep Study Results
I went to see my primary care doc today and asked him about the sleep study results and he is as puzzled as I am. He told me to keep using my cpap and don't even worry about the last test. He said that if the insurance company gave me any trouble about the test saying I wouldn't get any benefit from...

Anyone ever take Armodafinil?
I receive a newletter for Fibromyalgia and in it was an article on the drug Armodafinil . I looked the drug up and one of the reasons for it's use is for people with sleep apnea. They are doing clinical studies for it's use in patients with fibromyalgia to see if it will help them with fatique, whic...

Thinking about getting a pappillow
I'm thinking about getting a pap pillow and I was wanting to hear what you users had to say about it. I sleep on my back a lot, but sometimes I do sleep on my side. When I'm on my side I have a lot more leaks than when I'm on my back. I think that if I could sleep on my side without leaks I probably...

Re: My Sleep Study Results
The technician who ran your sleep study didn't find the pressure that would stop all events satisfactorily. But preferred presnting this as an objecitve diagnosis, instead of his failure. Based on that study I don't see why they - at the very least they didn't suggest a titration on and SV machine....

Re: My Sleep Study Results
Thanks for your replies. I have the encore pro and the reader so I'm going to post when I get it downloaded. My insurance company is going to pay for another machine and mask going by the first sleep study. I'm just at a loss to why the report came out like it did when cpap is making me feel so much...

Re: My Sleep Study Results
I can't help you with the interpretation of the study as i am new to all this stuff but i am an RN who has worked with the medical community long enough to know that it is not that uncommon to have 2 widely differing opinions about the same clinical issue. I know this does not help a great deal and...

Re: Nicotine usage
Congrats to all of you that have quit! Today is my 2nd year without cigs! I smoked for amost 20 years and finally decided to use the gum and it worked great. My dad smoked for years and it ended up giving him a bad heart. He died 13 years ago today during heart surgery so I decided to quit on the da...

My Sleep Study Results
I had my first sleep study almost 5 years ago and I had another one this past Monday. My insurance company suggested I get another one because I quit smoking and wearing a duragesic pain patch. I guess I'm dumb because I really don't understand the results so I'm going to post them in hopes of someo...

Oh, I finally see it. Thanks for pointing it out to me. I have a question for you. Does air blow in your eyes while wearing this mask? Air blows straight up into my eyes, but it may be because the mouth cushion is too big, I don't know.

Re: I need to trade something I hope someone has it
Sorry, I don't have one to trade, but you will also need to obtain the correct sized frame (clear hard plastic piece) as well as the soft mouth cushion. I thought the clear hard plastic piece was the same size. Is there a number on it? I guess I was dumb because I didn't even know the mouth cushion...
