Re: What the 'flip' is going on?
The allergy pill is suppose to work for 24 hours but it only worked for 8 .... why it didn't take care of the symptoms this morning is a mystery. I assumed it was the machine causing this problem .... mainly because the nights I didn't use it, I had NO symptoms. There are no pollens out and I just c...

Re: What the 'flip' is going on?
Thanks for the advice and suggestions. I took an allergy pill last night and slept great but as soon as I got up I developed nasal congestion, sneezing and watery eyes. I have not changed brands of soap and I rinse the equipment to the point of ridiculousness ... I've also cleaned the equipment in v...

What the 'flip' is going on?
Hey everyone! I haven't posted in a while but I read the board 'almost' daily and want to thank you all for the input and valuable information you provide. It will be my one year anniversary next month! WOW, a year! When I started this crazy journey I didn't realize it would be an extended trip ... ...

Re: Restless legs
I've had RLS for years, but I never called it that mainly because I didn't know it had a 'real' name It's real name is actually .......... "The Heebie-Jeebies" When I was a kid my Mom would wiggle her legs and rub them and say she had the 'heebie-jeebies' and of course I didn't know what the hell sh...

Re: Please Rethink The Big Pot Design
Welcome OldLincoln I am a recovering chat addict It took me 'forever' to post to this forum and it took me 'just a few posts' to stop posting! With any forum, be it message board or live chat there are 'reg's' and there are 'newbies' and IMHFO it takes a very long time to be considered a 'reg' so if...

Re: Swift LT pillow system leak data
Let me start out by saying that Jules post was a tad bit harsh IMHFO I think that 'Feeling Better' was only trying to help this old lady and I thank you all for trying to help. The ResMed machine does not have the capability of listing the Swift LT, but I did enter "Swift", which was the closest opt...

Re: Swift LT pillow system leak data
Good Morning! To address some of your questions here goes: I do not get condensation I wear the mask quite loose as I had been over tighning I used band-aids, gauze, and pads to protect the bridge of my nose when using a FF I have tried every size of nasal pillow except the large I WISH I had kept a...

Re: Swift LT pillow system leak data
I apologize yet again I've tried at least a dozen masks and almost all of them have been Full-Face. They also leak horribly, and ALL of them left a horrible sore on the bridge of my nose. I tried bandages, tape, gauze, tightning, loosening, etc. etc. but none of them worked. Unfortunately I did not ...

Re: Swift LT pillow system leak data
What is a FFM trial? Full-Face-Mask? My DME would do the trial on that or do I go through the RT? Well Crapola Ignorance is just no excuse but sometimes I just wish I didn't delve into it and had remained stoopid! But now that I know there are major problems, which is why I'm still tired, I have to ...

Re: Swift LT pillow system leak data
Sorry I hate being such a pain in the a** but I really DO appreciate your help. Leak rates are between .2 and 1.1 with the average being .4 and .5 My lowest AHI has been 3.3 and the highest was 17.5, but it's usually around 4.6 The lowest AI was .2 and the highest was 11.7, but it's usually around 1...

Re: PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT
If you click the yellow light bulb and go to the correct topic you will find your answer. I just changed the setting on my ResMed and I did it all by myself, but I can't remember exactly how, but if I can do it, ANYONE can do it. Goodluck! Sorry for the pathetic response, but it's the best I can do

Re: Amtrak cross country help- first time AMTRAK
Take an extra blanket. I rode Amtrak once years ago and about froze my buns off. Make sure you take your time and see the sights along the coast. The Oregon coast is absolutely beautiful and there are numerous places to pull over and take a walk along the beach. This is also the perfect time to go s...

Re: Swift LT pillow system leak data
The machine was initially set up to ramp for 40 minutes but I changed it several months ago to 20 minutes and it was pre-set at 6. I have no problem falling asleep and am asleep within seconds, well maybe minutes!

Re: Swift LT pillow system leak data
I don't know what else to do to control leaks! I stopped using KY in my nose-holes, I put dental floss around the pillows, I have the tube suspended, I have the machine lower than the bed, I adjusted my mask properly last night so I don't know what else to do. I could tape my mouth but the only tape...
