I had a "conscious sedation" catheterization a few weeks ago, and I agree, the recovery room is the problem. I think I was so uptight about it I wasn't all that sedated. There were men on either side of me in the recovery room, and I could have diagnosed the apnea SO easily. They were snoring loudly...

well...... I don't LOVE it. I would much rather not to NEED xpap therapy. But it is what it is. I do need it. I feel better when I use it (even though it is rarely all night, some is better than none!). I almost always wake up with dry eyes because it always seems to end up blowing my eyes. It certa...

My machine is quieter than the cpap machine. I would have to say there is more "noise" with the bi-pap though; in my case it is my of an obvious difference when breathing in and breathing out. To me, the benefits far outweigh the problems because I don't feel that panicky feeling when breathing OUT ...

xpap while stuffy??
I am working on getting stuffed up for the first time since starting xpap therapy (which, by the way, has drastically improved since I moved to bipap--- it made a HUGE difference). Last night I kept taking it on and off--- I think because of being stuffed up. The instruction book that came with the ...

do you truly have a TORN rotator cuff? or just impingement? (not "just" impingement, that is painful too! I mean impingement rather than an actual tear?) I had impingement for several years and was able to manage it with pt, exercises, etc. Last December, I made the leap from impingement to torn tho...

?? about bipap
I picked up my new respironics m series bipap today (I had the m series c-flex previously). I have tried to search for links explaining the machine--- help? Also, the dr said he was going to up the pressure to 10 (from 9) with a minimum of 6, but when I tried it when I got it home, it was fluctuatin...
