[quote][ only problem was rainout where as the Swift II did not have rainout with the same setting (2) on the humidifier.I'll be turning down the humidifier a notch tonight. /quote] Just a thought: do you have a hose wrap insulating your air hose? If not, I'd encourage you to get one as this can mak...

Re: Resmed S9 Stops Flow

Interesting comment about the power supply being wonky at the breaker. One solution would be to use an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) -these are commonly used with computers so that the computer gets consistent power no matter what is coming out of the wall outlet. I've been using a UPS for over 5...

Re: Failed with Swift FX

This is too bad... did you try the Ayr Creme to help your nares get used to the pillows? When I first started with nasal pillows, I was using a creme called "Roezit" (or some spelling similar to this) and it really helped. If you suffer from stuffy nose, especially when you lay down, nasal pillows c...

Re: ResMed S9 settings

I have tried both and found a difference for me. Med fits my breathing pattern perfectly. I breathe easy (literally) without resistance. BTW I never tried the S8 or S8 II so I can't compare to them... but there is no comparison, for me, to C-flex... JMHO Thanks guys, for the explanations. Have to c...

ResMed S9 settings

Can anyone please explain the "Sleep Quality" and "EPR Inhale" settings on the S9? The clinician manual does not give much explanation about either of these. I'm particularly interested to know about the "EPR Inhale" as the manual shows that it is set with a default of "medium" but can be adjusted t...

Re: Carry On Bags $30 each!!!

How about "South-Worst" and "Worst-Jet?"

One of my favourites is Air Canada. Their motto seems to be: "We're not happy until you're not happy."

Re: Looking for a new mask...

I've had fairly good success with the Fisher & Paykey "Forma." It is shaped on the bottom so that it catches your chin and helps to keep one's mouth closed. The flaw with it, in my opinion, is that the piece which touches your forehead is not adjustable like the ResMed FF is. I ended up adding some ...

Nice to read that you are keeping that warm, friendly, civil, welcoming tone going... How's it going for you, by the way? Winning friends and influencing people?

Re: New SWIFT FX--ANYONE using it yet?

I've been using the Swift FX for about a week now and I have to say that I'm impressed. The only mask that I like better than Swift FX is the Aiomed Headrest (I'm probably spelling this wrong). Swift FX is a very close second and, for travel, it is way better as it folds up very compact.

Ya' that's me... I'm da bomb!
Seriously, I just hate seeing masks go to waste that could be used by someone who needs them. I'm happy to pass them on.
Thanks for the compliment.

Masks to donate

I have a ResMed Swift LT and a Fisher & Paykel Opus, both of which have only been used a few times, that I'm willing to donate to someone who needs a new mask(s) and does not have insurance/financial support.

Send me a PM if you are interested.
