Infrared Camera - What I've learned about my sleep
Wow, I must say I'm amazed at what I've discovered about my sleep patterns after purchasing an infrared camera. I purchased a wireless network camera made by Astak (http://www.molecamera.com/). It takes a little while to set up, especially if you have a lot of security on your wireless network, howe...

Re: Seizures And Sleep Apnea
Thank you for posting this link. I was diagnosed with epilepsy/seizure disorder in high school. While I haven't had a grand mal seizure since then, I remember 5-6 years ago having terrible headaches, neck pain, and a bloody tongue some mornings. I even remember a couple of nights where I would wake ...

I'm usually not satisifed with my CPAP therapy, but I feel much worse if I don't use it.

Re: Resmed Swift FX - Flex Tube Vent question
Check your hose, folks! Only a 90 day warranty. I was told to buy this https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-swift-fx-short-tube-assmebly-elbow-swivel.html . Only $74, what a bargain! I'm going to get a hold of Resmed and see if they will help. If not, I guess I can talk to American Express. They ...

Re: Resmed Swift FX - Flex Tube Vent question
Sigh, I guess when it rains it pours. Well, at least I found something to use my Gorilla Tape on. I'll wrap the tubing up and ask cpap.com what they can do for me.

Resmed Swift FX - Flex Tube Vent question
In addition to the vents on the elbow, I noticed my Swift FX flex tube has 3 small holes / vents - is this supposed to be the case? This documentation doesn't say anything about vents in the flex tube: http://www.resmed.com/us/assets/documents/product/swift_fx/user_guide/608259_swift-fx_user-guide_a...

Re: Sleep Apnea and Seizures
Thanks for all the support folks. Regarding seizures versus sleep apnea, I just meant in my particular case I have the seizures under control. It is the CPAP therapy that is driving me crazy. It may turn out that I do have mild sleep apnea and it is being managed and my tiredness is related to my he...

Re: My sleep issue is making my life miserable.
I am in a similar boat in the sense that my numbers are always very low, yet I still often have that exhausted feeling the moment I wake up. It sounds like you have your bases covered better than mine as far as sleep prep goes. One thing I'd ask is what is your caffeine intake throughout the day and...

Sleep Apnea and Seizures
Anyone here deal with sleep apnea and seizures? I'm still dealing with both, although the seizures are much more manageable than the sleep apnea. I had a few very rough nights on CPAP and had a partial seizure last night at the gym, thankfully nobody noticed lol! Just before it happened, I remembere...

Re: CPAP + Provigil
Has anyone had success with adding Provigil therapy to their CPAP therapy? I've been on CPAP for 6 months now, and I have improved, but I still have quite a bit of daytime sleepyness. My doc wants to put me on Provigil, but after reading about it, I'm scared to take it. Anyone got any testimonials ...

Re: Digital Video Recording Sleep
Oddly enough, the website doesn't provide "Where to buy" information for North America. The camera currently available in other parts of the world for an equivalent of US$35. I couldn't find that one, but I did find a different model online for 4000 yen, less than 20% of what I paid for the sleep s...

Go to bed as early as possible the night before. I've had 2 studies done and both times they woke me up at 4:45 / 5:00 am.

Re: Determing mouth breathing via EncoreViewer?
Thanks, that is what I figured. My only question then is shouldn't my AHI be higher? My AHI is usually below 1.5 which seems to be very low.
