I have mine on max. and after about 2 weeks of CPAP treatment I have only had 1 night where the humidity felt right, that night I didn’t wake up repeatedly with dry mouth & feeling like I was suffocating. On that one night it was raining and the humidity in the house was really high. All other night...

But when I tried to download my data I got the same error message as you. I went into the control panel and in th...

I had to wait several months for my first visit to the sleep lab here in Ottawa but since my AHI was very high (77) they arranged for me to come back within a couple of weeks. It seems that some triage occurs after the fist sleep lab visit. Based on the second visit I was provided with script for a ...

nasal congestion
I am new to all this CPAP thing, only been doing it for about a week but I have been having the same problem. I'm not congested during the day but as soon as I go to bed with CPAP I'm congested. Then sometime during the night I get unblocked. What I have noticed is that when I turn onto my side I ge...

Increased Heart Rate
I like the idea that it could be more REM sleep. I particularly like the idea of more 'adventurous' REM. Unfortunately, I don't remember any adventures but I'll keep trying. Meanwhile I just checked my heart rate & blood pressure and they are all within my normal limits. I have been awake for about ...

Increased Heart Rate
I am just starting to use a CPAP machine as wel and have noticed that when I wake up in the middle of the night my heart rate seems to be elevated. This is subjective but I think it might be related to the feeling I get when extreme dry mouth causes a kind of panic. But overall I haven't experienced...

How do the pricing polocies affect your buying decisions?
I live in Ontario, Canada, so I am ensured to some extent by the government health insurance plan but there are some catches to it. 1. The government calculates the cost of setting-up the machine and its cost at $1000+ with a co-pay of 25%. 2. The cost of the mask and headgear is not covered and the...

FLAP alternative therapy
This suggests to me an alternative, FLAP therapy. This therapy involves placing medical quality plastic, flexible flaps over all breathing orifices thus allowing airflow out of the lungs but preventing any air in. This quickly stops all snoring as the air is exhausted. The effect is similar to that ...
