Re: OT: Is anyone watching...

Let me take a wild guess. You voted for Hillary and you are one of the snowflakes who feels so entitled that you cant accept the fact Trump won. Or let me take a wilder guess. You are not even American and are not eligible to vote but as an outsider, you dont like what you PERCEIVE as someone who is...

Re: Oral Appliance for UARS

Your success with your Somnodent gives me hope. I admire you. I'm on my fourth machine (Dream Station Bipap Auto) since 2003, when I first knew I had apnea. I bought a Somnomed MAD 3.5 years ago and have used it every night since then. So I use both now. My AHI is consistently averaging 1 at present...

Re: Non-CPAP/BIPAP Solutions for Sleep Apnea

For severe sleep apnea? No, there is no really good treatment other than CPAP/Bipap. For mild-moderate obstructive sleep apnea? There are a lot of people and there is a lot of money being spent on prescription, custom made oral appliances that move the lower jaw forward the entire time in your sleep...

Re: sleep and sex

I have to say after nearly twenty years of having a low libido except for seven years on CPAP, WHATS SEX???? Who has it? I forgot about it. Im highly skeptical many of the regular posters here have much of a sex life, going by self described bios of many posters here. Bad hearts, type II diabetes, O...

Re: sleep and sex

ive tried the TRTs. The only one that worked were the old school injections. And the improvement was not as dramatic as I thought it would be. I actually had a better libido with low testosterone and no TRT but my old time full pressure CPAP. I know, makes no sense but its the way it was. I stopped ...

Re: Has anyone's bruxism been helped by xPAP?

I really recommend against any type of surgery to treat obstructive sleep apnea. I would never have the UPPP, read so many negative things about it. And my experience with a tonsillectomy totally trainwrecked my CPAP therapy which had been going OK. I did not do the tonsillectomy to help my sleep ap...

Re: sleep and sex

Oh yeah? My testosterone is so low Im probably at the level of pre-puberty. When my CPAP was able to be run at full pressure, my ED problem improved...significantly. I lost 100 lbs last year and the ED improved very slightly, not much. With proper CPAP therapy, my ED improved significantly. Although...

Re: Does anyone here have very severe apnea?

If I had an AHI of 99 and my doctor did not have me a machine and proper mask within two or three weeks max, I'd probably call local law enforcement on him. That goes beyond negligence, thats criminal neglect in my personal opinion. Yes, I would be getting a private prescription and buying a machine...

Re: Oral Appliance for UARS

I am getting ready to get an oral appliance for mild OSA. Im getting a Somnodent Flex, its supposed to be one of the more comfortable types. Supposedly. I will find out in probably four to six weeks. I used to use CPAP at higher pressures and tolerated that fine. After a tonsillectomy I can barely t...

Re: Has anyone's bruxism been helped by xPAP?

Bruxism was one of the problems I had for years that was one of the first problems to go away when I was put on CPAP in 2007. I used to wake up with sore jaws in the morning and a bad headache. When I went on full pressure CPAP and got the right mask (full face mask) bruxism disappeared. Unfortunate...

Re: sleep and sex

In my old days before I had sleep apnea and I had good health, sleep usually followed sex for me. I would have sex, roll over and fall asleep and sleepytime it would be. I'd wake up feeling like I had slept a good night of sleep and would wake up with a good mood. Since sleep apnea almost twenty yea...

Re: OT.....Elections matter...live with it

What always got me and still gets me is to this very day I do not understand how ANY AMERICAN could vote for obama. And honestly expect any sort of truly robust comeback from the economic collapse of 2008. Blew my mind in 2008/2009 and blows my mind today and obama left back on Friday, thank God. I ...

zOh brother... You are not even an American citizen. Keep your opinions to yourself on American elections. Few things irritate me more than non Americans commenting with authority or quasi-authority on American politics, American elections. Stick to where you live and what you know of firsthand...CA...

Re: is mid to low 60 oxygen good or bad?

Normal is 95% and above. "In the 90s" is not normal. 97% is "normal." 92% or 93% is "in the nineties" and it wont kill you but its far from ideal and you are likely to be suffering from shortness of breath, dizziness, poor sleep, depression like symptoms. Be more specific in the future when you make...

Re: is mid to low 60 oxygen good or bad?

64% oxygen is deathly sick oxygen levels. Its brain damage and heart damage level oxygen levels. For your information, anything under 88% oxygen saturation in the blood is considered a formal medical emergency and you should be in the ER, getting admitted to find out WHY your oxygen is so low. If yo...
