Hi Severeena,
I read in your many past postings that your hubby was being fitted for HR mask and touted HR as the best mask ever invented. What's going on...? Ummmm.... Now it sounds like you got caught in telling a story that isn't true.

I like the 431 FF and have added a home made velco under-the-chin strap because my chin tends to drop and causes minor leaks. The head support appliance isn't adjustable so I've also heated it and bent it to better seal my nose bridge area. The face seal is too thin and tends to rip after prolonged ...

I've been using a FP 431, FF for the past 3 months and found it the best for me. The only real problem I've had so far is the face seal tends to get torn around the nose. But even so... it doesn't effect the performance. I started out with a Resperonics Full Comfort that was only a mouth/nose mask. ...

The bottom line is HR is a poorly designed product that doesn't work. It leaks badly and has lousy headgear. All this for over $220... nice. It might make a good "one" bird bath? I'm posting this info just to let consumers know that HR isn't the mother of all masks Severeena keeps touting on this si...

What torques my jaws (no pun intended) is if HR is such a high quality product that commands top dollar why should I (and other such on this site...) have to call the company to get "add ons" such as do nothing Sensa Seals at $20 a pop for $1.50 worth of material, and new headgear that should have b...

Dsm, You are correct there is no mask leakage settings on the Pro 2. Reading the Resperonics U.S. patent on the Pro 2, it measures the total air flow (not to be confused with air pressure) as a base line number then subtracts the breathing cycle flow rate (the moving average of 4 breathing cycles) r...

I have a Respronics bi-pap pro 2. Setting the epap & ipap the same makes the machine work as a cpcp. I did some bi-pap pressure tests by connecting a pressure transducer and data logger to the mask hose and recording my nightly pressure cycles. Interestingly I discovered the machine was running abou...

Roger... The mask does not have inter-changeable shell sizes. You have to specify the size and like all masks... they are not returnable if it doesn't fit. Don't waste your money on a HR mask. The product is over priced and doesn't perform as advertised. I don't think the "new" head gear is going to...

My first mask was a ComfortFull that was anything but comfortable and difficult to get seated properly. Any movement such as rolling over onto my side caused the mask to dislodge and leak. My current mask is a F&P 431 full face that I've been using for several months and is much more comfortable, ve...

Just got my mask and it's great... anyone considering a FF mask should look at a HR unit. Most DME's don't (won't) stock HR masks and will try to push a low end cheap, ill fitting Respronics Full Comfort or similar units masks. DME's will charge 150 to 175% more than the list price for a typical lac...

Mikemoran's posting are getting a little over done .... Yes, his viewpoints are interesting to read (once and awhile), but if he can't offer something constructive to offer this site other than his "less than humorous comments"... Maybe he should consider giving us a break. Gezzz Mike... give it a b...

As a semi mouth breather I've been using it for about a month and find it's ok and allot better than the Full Comfort mask I had at first. The Full Comfort was anything but comfortable and leaked badly. I like the under FF chin support as I tends to open my mouth... it keeps it closed, but I can sti...

Ok... now I'm really confused. My snore index has always been very high with actual snore recorded in the 200 range, yet my AHI is averaging in the 2.5 range at a pressure bi-pap setting of 10/15. If snores (restricting the air way) are a precursor to apnea, I would assume my AHI number should be hi...

Snore Index...?
Reading this site has given me a ton of great info but there doesn't seem much is said about snore index and how it relates to apnea. Encore gives me snores and snore index data... what does it mean?
