This looks like a good design (we're not talking about performance). The swivel allows the the hose to point anyway you want. I don't know how you fill the water chamber, that may be a problem.

Or, you can simply turn the unit so that the hose port faces the direction you desire. But the power cord should be on the back. Wow! I didn't expect my opinion to upset people. This is my second CPAP and the best one I've had, hands down. I use it when traveling and am using it now because the S9 has failed. I just checked with https://www.secondwindcpap.com/ and they charge half the price of a new unit. $370 is not my kind of tide me over for a few months deal.
