I've been taking Trazadone 50mg at night for 6 years with no daytime sleepiness. My Dr. upped the dose about 3 months ago to 100 to 150mg because the 50mg wasn't working as well. He said I can take up to 400mg if needed. I don't have any daytime sleepiness on either dose, but the 150mg makes me slee...

I don't clean my Swift every day, but I have found that cleaning the pillows every couple of days provides a better seal. For me, this may be due to the fact that even at my age (but I'm not telling) I still have oily skin. Also, some people are unsymptomatic carriers of the Staph germ in their nose...

I had to be off cpap for a couple of weeks due to a severe sinus infection. I didn't feel sleepy for quite awhile, but I discovered I had started making mistakes at work again. (This was one of the major problems before therapy). Boy, was I glad to get back on cpap!

I never woke up during the night pre-cpap (I thought!)

Now I wake up a couple of times a night if I turn over, but I feel SO much better that I just don't worry about it.

Usually, weight loss requires an adjustment in pressure. But there could be other things going on as well. He should check with his doctor and see about getting another sleep study done to determine the correct pressure.

Welcome to another Texan (I'm in Arlington)! I am so thankful that I found this site before I got my machine. I told the Dr. specifically what I wanted on my Rx for a machine, humidifier, and mask and he wrote it exactly that way. I had no problems from the DME since it was all spelled out, nothing ...

Just got home from babysitting my almost 2 year old granddaughter for 4 days and I thought I was tired before! I was a nurse for 9 years, then stayed home with the kids doing a lot of volunteer work. The twins are 28 now, my son is a video game programmer for the BIG ONE in Seattle and my daughter i...

I went through the exact same thing. My first sleep study was Oct. 8, 2005. My titration study was Nov. 4, 2005. I finally got my machine on Dec. 22, 2005 and that was after some phone calls and going to the DME to pick it up instead of waiting for an appointment for them to bring it to my home. Kee...

Do an Internet search. Auction sites are another place. There are small Medical Alert tags that can be worn on your keychain for about $5. The bracelets and necklaces are a lot more expensive. I also posted a place a little while ago where you can print out a free wallet card with all your medical i...

I put a memory foam eggcrate topper on my regular mattress. Just the right amount of give without sinking too deep and the eggcrate makes it cooler.

I am definitely hanging on to my vinyl to fund my retirement. I have an unopened Cream album.

I am also looking forward to all those Senior discounts at restaurants, and those Senior shopping days with discounts at department stores.

Welcome to a fellow Texan! I'm in Arlington. If you are near a Tom Thumb/Randall's they have distilled water (which you will need for the humidifier) for $.50 instead of the usual $.99. Don't know how long it will be on sale, so I stocked up on 6 gallons. I use about a gallon a month. Your mileage m...

Nice pictures!

Makes me appreciate the 80 degree day we had Wednesday here in Texas. Except tonight it is 26 with freezing drizzle.

Well, as they say here, "If you don't like the weather in Texas, just wait a minute!"
