I cannot be bothered and simply avoid the place.

Re: New TSA rules?
My bad; I forgot that Dunham is not that popular. . . --and after seeing Fator; not all that good. As far as I'm concerned, absolutely no apology is necessary. As a country we've already taken political correctness to an absurd level. We should absolutely be profiling those who are most likely to b...

Re: Why it IS illegal - sort of - to change your pressure.
Sorry, but I have to wonder what the real purpose of this "discussion" was. The only possible answer seems to be to make people wary of changing their own xPAP settings, or, at the very least, to give them something else to worry about. Either that, or it was another instance of "mental masturbation...

Re: Any tricks to keeping PR S1 filters from "jumping" out???
Aha! One of my Asthma symptoms is coughing, especially at night. And I've had some mild coughing lately. Hmmm, I'm going to have to rig up some sort of "filter retention device". Maybe I'll use a bit of cardstock to cut out a window just slightly smaller than the intake "window" and tape it in plac...

Re: System One Sensor Too Dry
Interesting, but I'm curious as to how much water is being used nightly, and whether it starts out every night completely full. I'm using the "automated" humidifier setting on number '4,' and start out with a full tank every night. We keep the bedroom at 68 degrees, and a relative humidity of 40 -50...

Re: Nasal CPAP May Alter Facial Structure in Adults With OSA
Hmmm, sounds like a tempest in a teapot to me, but then I use nasal pillows and not a "nasal mask" so nothing is pushing against my jaw.
Quite frankly, I have often wondered why people use nasal masks at all since nasal pillows are much more comfortable, and markedly less intrusive.

Re: Filter Problems
Same problem here, but removing the tab prevented further "pop outs."
Also, if you get your filters through cpap.com, you may have to trim a little off the sides. Their filters do not seem to be as uniform as Respironics.

Re: Repironics vs. Resmed
I very seriously doubt that Resmed is entitled to a "Cadillac" of the industry approbation. They may do some things better than Respironics, but in my opinion not nearly so many to warrant the price differential. Additionally, I take great umbrage with their corporate stance on cross-border shipping...

Re: TOOT!!
If you think this new healthcare bill is going to save you money you have your head in the sand. Not only is it going to cost more, the government will tell you what you can and can not do, and when they say no your out of luck. "3% wont equal that." Try 25% to 50% increase in healthcare cost plus ...

Re: OT: Sleep Lab Humor
Wow, my little sleep lab fiasco seems to have caused quite a stir. First, I will admit to clicking on the link even though I knew that since Rooster and I haven't met he could not possibly have identified my naughty bits. And even if the sleep lab technician put something on YouTube, I seriously dou...

Re: OT: Sleep Lab Humor
At the sleep lab I went to, they have a rule that you have to wear something to cover yourself with. It is in the list of rules they send out to you before you go. Well, despite what happened, that would have been a problem for me. The lab technician seemed very professional about the whole thing, ...

Re: OT: Sleep Lab Humor
Well, yeah, that pesky camera.... I've slept au naturel for so long I simply cannot get to sleep any other way. I explained this to the lab technician (female, of course), and she just smiled and said, "don't worry about it. I promise not to look if you get out from under the covers." I thought, yea...

Re: cleaning of cushion/pillows for long life
Thank you for the interest, folks. I'm wondering if your water is soft or hard-- It appears to me that hard tap water is unsuitable for rinsing. . . Here in NH the groundwater is so hard pebbles come out of the faucet. Nevertheless, I've been rinsing my CPAP accessories in it for 7 years without a ...
