Re: Selling a used machine

Nope, it's an old remstar plus... Just got the M-series with C-Flex. Definitely not giving up on my therpy! GOOD! Other thoughts: Have you tried to list it on CPAPAuction.com? There may come a time when you need a backup. There are various times when people (some without prescriptions) are looking ...

Re: Selling a used machine

Is it legal to sell a used CPAP machine? I no longer need my Remstar Plus with heated humidifier... Could use money instead (Can't we all?) Is it the one pictured in your profile?.....the M Series Plus w/C-Flex? What makes you think that you no longer "need" it? If you're giving up on your therapy,...

[quote="jules"]Well I guess I should have posted it yesterday when I first read the thread - Save the headache and time of playing phone tag that doesn't get anywhere, and buy online. Sometimes it reaches the point where the frustration isn't worth the extra cost. I know I made that decision when I ...

[quote="xyz"]> That's why my question to them has been to see if I can pay for the difference myself for the upgraded machine... Nooooooo! Don't ask that question! Instead get your doctor to write _exactly_ the machine that you need. Have them write "do not substitute" on the prescription. I hear lo...

[quote="Anonymous"]Apria buys roughly 100 million dollars a year worth of cpaps from their primary supplier Respironics. I think they might be able to get their hands on a DS500s. That in no way increases your odds of getting one. You see, the M series auto machine costs a bit more than the low end ...

Hi. I also have Kaiser/Apria. First, you need to look at your doc's Rx. Apria will not give you an auto machine unless your rx specifically requests it. Second, I know for a fact they will do special orders. I don't use any of the standard masks because I have a small nose and they special ordered ...

Just emailed my Dr. and the Rcp. hopefully will get some response... I may go to the Apria facility tomorrow and see if face to face conversation may be more useful than phone tag. funny thing is, about 6 months ago, I interviewed with Apria for a Unix System Administrator position LOL Update, FINA...

Suggestions for dealing with Kaiser and Apria?

Has anyone had to deal with Apria thru Kaiser for their CPAP? I am wanting the M-series pro with C-flex, or the M-series Pro auto with A-Flex... I have been bounced between apria and the Kaiser DME office probably 10 times today, with Kaiser telling me that they have no control over what I get, and ...

Newbie to the site, but 6 years into CPAP

Hi Everyone, I'm new here, but 6 years with CPAP. Was diagnosed with severe OSA in 2002. Was set up with a Remstar Plus at 12cm... they gave me the stupid crossover humidifier, which only works with hot water, and as soon as it cooled, humidity plummeted and left me dry... Bought the heated Humidifi...

How about a complate to the FTC or FDA, or even your local or federal Insurance regulatory agencies?
This appears to be an attempt to jack prices, and since most people have insurance covering DME, an attempt to make large profits... Insurance Fraud isn't much different...
