Mirage Swift questions

Is air supposed to be coming out of those little holes in the mask? That's just the exhaust/expiration, right? How much? I'm wondering if it's too much or something.

a new sleep study is hard for me because I am a single mom of two toddlers and don't have anyone to watch them so I can go. Otherwise, no its not that bad.

Do you get better sleep with the humidifier?

I have a humidifier on my CPAP machine but never hardly use it. I'm wondering if you feel like your sleep is improved with the use of it. Maybe I'm missing out on some quality sleep by not using it!

I go to the psychiatrist tomorrow and am talking with her about starting Provigil to offset the sleepiness as well but the majority of this sleepiness started before the meds, too. I think it's really a combo of the depression, meds, and OSA but I know that my sleep apnea is really a huge huge part ...

sleeping 6pm to 3pm the next day WITH CPAP!

I am so tired and my CPAP is not cutting it anymore. I have an appointment to go see the doctor soon about getting an APAP (pray pray pray I don't need another sleep study) but in the meantime need some relief from this god-awful sleepiness. I slept from 6pm to 3pm the next day! I'm also really depr...

hmmm

I'm on an old school machine that has nothing 'auto' about the thing... I've had it for quite awhile and was on 9 but gained a lot of weight and went up to 14. I did notice it is extra, extra noisy and almost sounds like, yes, there is a leak somewhere. Hmmm. I'm also wondering if it's my mask. I ha...

really? So setting it too high can make you MORE tired? That's interesting. I've lost some weight and think my settings may be off. I have an old school machine that isn't an auto or anything. Hmmm.. and I've been SUPER tired!!!

Yes I am aware of that, and I've brought up that fact to my psychiatrist many times. However, right now, considering I'm borderline suicidal, they insist it is the best treatment for my anxiety at night. I have severe major depression, bipolar II, borderline personality disorder, and obsessive compu...

benzodiazepines and sleep apnea

My psychiatrist has me taking Xanax at night for sleep and I'm wondering if this is okay considering the sleep apnea or if this is screwing up my breathing and that's why I'm still so tired all the time... any ideas?

Consequences of setting too high?

I'm wondering what the symptoms or consequences are if your CPAP is set too high. Does anyone know?
